McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Herkimer

Usually pretty good service here. I recently went in the evening and the service was poor. The worker didn't say anything when I stepped up to the register. He never smiled. He ignored me for the first 5min as he was doing other things. He never spoke or said "I will be with you in a few minutes." I waited for 10min. Finally he took my order but didnt take my money until after he gave me the food. And then I had to wait for the change that took another 5min. As I was waiting for the food there was one asian lady in back of me wanting to place her order too. We were talking in line. On my way out the door I saw her deciding what to get. The worker was talking now and he was shouting at her that she needed to make up her mind and speak up because he was busy. That might have been so but he could have been more...

Ordered two Big Macs, read my order to me. Told them it was wrong. Said they would fix it. Get the new order just to get home and one of the Big Macs had an old order sticker on it and I was missing the top and bottom buns! It was two pieces of meat with the center bun. Called the store to just politely mention what happened. Girl who answered the phone said she was the one who asked for my sandwich to be fixed originally and there isn’t a problem. I restated again that I have an older sandwich with no buns. She angrily and annoyed said either come back with it or nothing I can do. I said the way you’re talking seems like you don’t care that someone got an incomplete sandwich then she hung up. Never buying from that McDonald’s ever again. Unbelievably rude and...

One of the best McDonald's franchises I have ever visited! Impeccably clean and beautifully landscaped grounds, state of the art drive-thru displays, prompt and friendly service (by people who really seemed to care about us having a good meal), hot and fresh food. Heck, they even remembered napkins.

Seriously, I've eaten at McDonald's "flagship" store just down the street from their Chicagoland headquarters (and "Hamburger U"), and this store in a small town in Upstate New York is every bit as good.

Frankly, I was shocked. This McDonald's is actually worth getting off the Thruway to visit, in lieu of stopping at a rest stop. There are VERY few restaurants that I would do that for.
