I was staying outside the academy in a local motel in 2010. while working with a traveling company that made rubber gymnasium floors and was working inside academy for 5-6 months. Due to the town outside the Base being so underdeveloped back then, there was only the shell gas station a Walgreens and a rite Aid. And like 3 or 4 local bars.. And Benny Havens pub was the place to be!!! Even the candidates would leave the inside of the West point academy to venture to Benny's! It has a real authentic old time surrounding and Irish style atmosphere, with WONDERFUL staff as Dave the bartender was there to make you feel like your at home! As a matter of face, he is still there today! The owner is kind and vary friendly! And the place was busy most of the time with friendly people who love there sports!! Food is like a 5 star restaurant and the only place I loved to go while able to go anywhere else in or outside the academy! I am from the Great lakes in Minnesota and Benny's made me feel like I was seriously still at home! Love this pub and hope to one day travel back to visit! â¤ď¸ Thanks Benny Haven for the GREATEST...

The place has totally gone down hill. Even the air is bad. Go 6 miles down the road. The bars in stony point get customer service and need...
