Alma Cocina is an absolute gem for authentic yet elevated Mexican cuisine. From start to finish, everything was flawless, the food, the drinks, the service, and the atmosphere were all 10/10.
We started with the fresh guacamole (pro tip: add the chicharrón for an amazing crunch) and the fried calamari with shishito peppers, which was perfectly crisp and addictive. For mains, we had the carne asada, pulpo (octopus), and shrimp tacos, each packed with flavor and beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the Mahi Mahi aguachiles, fresh, tangy, and with just the right amount of heat.
Don’t forget to ask for their homemade hot sauce, it adds the perfect spicy kick to any dish. For drinks, I had the avocado spicy margarita, and we loved their build-your-own margarita options, which were fun, customizable, and delicious.
A huge thank you to Eduardo and Chef Catalina! Eduardo’s warm hospitality made us feel right at home, and Catalina, an extraordinary chef with many years of culinary experience, is the heart of the kitchen. Her mastery of authentic Mexican flavors, combined with a refined, modern touch, shines through in every single dish.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the ambiance was vibrant yet relaxed, the kind of place that makes you want to linger over every bite.
Final verdict: If you’re looking for authentic Mexican flavors crafted by a chef with true passion and expertise, Alma Cocina is...
Read moreWow what can I say went out to grab dinner with my family and Alma Cocina was amazing Dining experience from beginning to end . Eduardo and Kathy have created a place that is top notch . We ordered the shrimp ceviche and the guacamole with chicharrones to start and it was so fresh and tasty we couldn’t stop eating . For drinks had the spicy avocado margarita and it was incredibly tasty I don’t think I’ve ever had a margarita so refreshing. Now dinner had the grilled skirt steak and steak fajitas . All the steak was cooked to perfection with an explosion of flavors I had to scrape the plate. When it came down to dessert their home made tres leches cake and flan were out of this world not some store brought dessert this was the real deal. What impressed me the most was that this was only the soft opening and I can imagine how many more creations they have coming in the future. If you’re ever in the area check them out you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Alma cocina , Kathy Eduardo, and the whole staff were so welcoming and inviting thank u for making my family feel special and look forward to many more dinners with u guys. Whatever pictures I took of the doesn’t do any justice it was so good we dug right in so any one reading this review make sure you go...
Read moreMy wife, our cousin, and I went to Alma Cocina tonight and had an outstanding experience. We arrived for our 6:00 reservation and the place was bustling with a lively, welcoming vibe. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated right away.
We started with the queso fundido with chorizo ($17.95), which was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered a mojito ($16.00) that was excellent and perfectly balanced. For our mains, we each ordered different tacos and shared. I had the Birria Tacos ($23.95), which were terrific, while the ladies went with the Pescado Tacos ($22.95). One was grilled by special request and the other fried. Our server mentioned that the fried version was worth the splurge, and he was absolutely right. Both were excellent, but the fried was on another level.
Service was warm and attentive throughout. Our server checked in several times to make sure we were enjoying everything, and even the owner came by to see how we were doing, which was a very nice touch.
Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences we have had in the area. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and genuinely attentive service. We can hardly wait to go back and try more from the menu. What a wonderful new addition to the...
