Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Town of Huntington

Today was my first and last time at this location.  I see on the menu there's a Supreme and a Club supreme.  Both of them are $17.95 for the giant, with the difference being turkey vs ham.  Both looked tasty and I couldn't decide between the two so I politely asked if it'd be possible to do turkey on one side and ham on the other.  I get a yes and right as the employee is starting to cut the meat,  I hear the manager without even acknowledging me tell the employee to cut the sandwich in half and charge me for two regulars.  I had no problem with choosing one if that's their policy, but the manager was rude and didn't even offer any kind of explanation or polite word to me about it.   I chose the Club Supreme and it was not good unfortunately.   I've worked in food service for years at various levels including management and I strongly recommend customer service training for the manager of...

First , I really like their sandwich’s. I have gone there many times. However one thing annoys me. How come they cook the hot orders one at a time when there is a large grill. Just the other night I went in and the place was empty. I ordered a hot sandwich. The grill person started cooking the same sandwich. I paid and waited. 15 minutes go by and the sandwich was done. Then the clerk who helped me says yours is next. I was stressed for time and couldn’t wait another 15 minutes so I left. My husband and I have a tradition, we pick up Jersey mikes sandwiches & go to the beach, sometimes we eat one half whilst driving then the other half on the beach. Other times we unwrap the sandwiches once we are at our spot. Always made & wrapped to perfection. We LOVE the consistent customer service and delivery of the hand made-to-order product.
