
I don't really know why this is my experience 2/3 times going there, but it seems they mess up my drink orders more often than not. Simple, not overly complicated drink orders. Here are some common issues:
If I order a mocha latte, they NEVER stir the chocolate. It just sits at the bottom, unmixed. I feel like it's not really hard to realize that you should stir, or at the very least make sure that the chocolate in the drink is melted.
There has been more than one occasion where I have ordered a drink and it doesn't fill the cup. If I ordered a large, why is a third of my cup empty? It's not room for foam as lattes do not need a third of a cup for foam, and usually there isn't any foam ANYWAY.
Why is my HOT drink COLD. I think this one speaks for itself.
Drinks typically take a long time, but I've seen the layout and I don't completely fault the employees as it seems it doesn't look like they have the best space to work with. Still, this backs the line up all the times which is kind of ridiculous.
I don't typically ask them to fix the drinks as I know that they get busy and I don't like to feel like a bother, but honestly the consistency of mistakes is overwhelming. I usually go there since it's conviently located but I remember why I stopped awhile ago. I like the aesthetic but honestly that doesn't make up for the inconsistency especially since I don't typically hang out there. I really wanted to love this place...
   Read morei don’t like giving bad reviews but this is an exception. the barista that took our order got confused (which is totally ok) and tried to clarify our order. nothing wrong there, i wouldn’t say our order was complicated but it took me a second to figure out what i wanted. when she handed us our coffee, she mixed up the sizes. i guess i looked confused and she asked if something was wrong. i pointed out the mix up and tried to say it was fine, but she grabbed my coffee from me and was blaming us for the problem, saying we “confused her” with a very rude attitude. she then refused to respond during the payment transaction and walked away when i thanked her for her service. there were two other employees that were also working and neither said anything to us or apologized about her behavior, which they obviously noticed because they talked about her attitude after her shift was over. the coffee had absolutely no flavor and tasted awful. while the ambiance is nice, the seating is extremely uncomfortable and makes it difficult to try and study or get work done. this was definitely was one of the worst places i’ve been for coffee, in terms of both quality of service and quality...
   Read moreI like their iced coffee, which is reasonably priced, but their pastries are extremely expensive. They have a rainbow cookie small loaf cake that's 7 or 7.50. It should be half that, but someone really needs to tell them about customer service. They have an outdoor window, so you can place an order wo coming inside. You can stand there forever wo them acknowledging you. I left today and a few months ago I walked away. I noticed another gentleman recently drive up, walk to the window, and get back in his car and drive away after being ignored. Just once, someone said I'll be right with you. Whenever you go to Starbucks, they always greet you right away. That means a lot. Even though you have to wait, they acknowlede you. Here at Bay Shore Bean, you stand for minutes on end, wondering if or when you'll be helped. If this continues, I'm going to have to stop going. I want to make a note that there is a friendly young black woman that works here. She's not one of the ones...
