EDIT: shortly after I posted the review below, we got a phone call from Chiddy’s to follow up. We were surprised, but also really a happy that they went the extra mile to address our concerns and try to make things right. I wanted to acknowledge this and say thank you.

I’ll be honest and say that this was a pretty disappointing meal. I’m not sure if I can post a photo to accompany my review, so I’ll try to put it into words.

The fries were brown. Legitimately brown like twigs that have fallen from a tree. Though they tasted a burnt as they looked, they were yet somehow soggy and lukewarm. I get that fries are going to lose some of their heat when they leave the restaurant, but we picked up our food on time, right as it was ready, and we live three minutes away.

And now for the cheesesteak. It was tasty for sure, but the amount of oil that pooled at the bottom of the cardboard container the cheesecake was sent home in soaked through the container and made a mess of the counter. I get that cheesesteaks are going to be greasy, to an extent, but this was just gross. I’m just waiting on the massive stomachache I’m going to have later.

The bread on my husband’s sandwich was burnt to a crisp at one end. Like a charcoal briquette. Why?

I get it - this isn’t Pats or Gino’s - but for $15 a sandwich and however much extra for fries, I expected at least a little better. It’s going to take me a lot to come back here...

We ordered yesterday 1/1 around 2pm through uber eats. It was our first time ordering from there and I have never actually had a cheesesteak in my life but my husband has been craving one. We were so excited to order but then our food came and it was all disgusting and soggy. The “fresh cut fries”were definitely old. They tasted like they were frozen fries that they defrosted and cooked 2 days prior to serving them to us. The cheesesteaks had no cheese that we could see or taste. And on top of everything nothing was seasoned. Like not even salt or pepper. Everything was bland. We had to literal recook the meat off the sandwich with seasoning just to be able to eat it. It tasted like microwaved meat. We had to throw 2 large fries away because they were inedible. The empanadas were burnt. I paid extra for garlic bread, 90% sure it was regular bread because even the “garlic bread” was bland AF. Idk if this is a normal occurrence, n idk if they were just hungover from NYE or understaffed because of the holiday but they have lost our business forever. Not only will I never eat here again but i will probably never attempt to have a cheesesteak ever...

Last time I will order from this location. I don’t know if the chef doesn’t know their own menu or even read online orders. For the second time in a row ordering from this location, I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. I even paid extra for ranch and extra cheese. And for the second time I got a stripped down version of that sandwich. No lettuce, no tomato, no ranch, no extra cheese. Just the chicken, hot sauce and so little cheese I had to double take. Do they know their own menu??? Because this is the second time this has happened. But it has solidified me never ordering from them again. What a waste of money to not get what you paid for especially when you were charged extra for the ranch and cheese. So they get extra money out of me but give me half of the...
