JJ Dynasty — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Ordered through their website for take out yesterday afternoon, $45 worth of food. I scheduled it to be picked up 45 minutes from the time of order. I ordered extra items to get the $40+ “free item”. I showed up at the exact “ready” time and had to wait 15 minutes for the food, and they were not busy. Probably did not start cooking until I arrived.

Anyway, I get home and noticed a few of the extra items were missing. Also noticed the “free $40+ item” was not what I had selected. The beef lo Mein I ordered tasted spoiled (the beef quality was also rubbery, tough and filled with fat/cartilage). The boneless roast pork was OK. My wife’s food was good so that was all that mattered in the end. Pouring rain out and did not feel up to driving 10 mins back to the restaurant.

Overall quality has gone down recently. Prices went up, which I understand. But $45 for 4 items (one was soup!) left me with a sour experience. Will not be...

That said, it’s warranted here.

After a long day, my daughter, my husband, and I went out for dinner here. Things felt off from the start, but we all shrugged it off. I’ve had some of the best food from otherwise rude establishments. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, chicken and broccoli, and pepper steak with onion. These came with white rice, I upgraded my option to fried rice.

We knew something was wrong with the first bite. My husband said his had no taste at all, but the onion I had tasted chemically. After that one bite, we got the check immediately, paid, and left.

I’ve never done that in my life. We were there less than 15 minutes - including being sat and ordering.

I did wind up feeling ill later.

When you see the red flags about this restaurant, I do believe you should...

Don't waste your time, overpriced and rude. We ordered 2 Sashami rolls and the three amigo dinner (which they should call Carrots, Mushrooms, some chicken, a shrimp and scallop) and couldn't believe for $15 there was 3 pieces of shrimp, 2 scallops and 7 pieces of chicken but there was alot of mushrooms and carrots. The rolls are getting smaller and smaller as well. They used to be the thickness of a thick cucumber but not anymore, they look like sticks of butter. Needless to say we will not be going back this time for good. Yes we decided to give them a second chance again and its always the same thing,.. Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money with a restaurant that will appreciate your business. PS there getting a star only because you have to in order to post your review.
