Our family and friends have been going to this restaurant since it opened first across the street in a tiny store front! Now a big restaurant across the street! I believe now it's well over 38 years waiting over two hours many, many times to get in their first old restaurant it's been. You see we don't mind, we're not well off paying top dollar for a meal you can't duplicate at home but it used to be well worth it. Momma Lombardi's grew, grew and grew because their Italian food was made with the best quality! I loved their shrimp parmigiana unbreaded. There was no where you could get this most delicious large shrimp parm unbreaded dish anywhere on Long Island anywhere. Our family over the years had at least 400 of these dinners, take out, in the resturant, in the pizzeria! I bragged to everyone behind the scenes about this dish and restaurant for over 38 years to everyone including strangers. Never asked Momma Lombardi for a discount, never asked the three brothers I met time after time for anything but that same delicious meal I could keep on enjoying for decades & decades! * I'm very sorry to say that I no longer can suport what I said for over 38 years now! Out of the 400 shrimp parm unbreaded dinners I purchased over the years Momma Lombardi's has destroyed over 30 of them in just the last several years. Big dissapointment, very sad, over and over messing up our dinners. I don't know what's going on anymore with their restaurants. Did money get to their heads, hired help that doesn't understand. They do own many restaurants now! They lost what they had in the past, mostly of all the quality! Let me horten this story now.* **I will no longer go to their restaurants or recommend them to anyone. I deserve to be treated just like anyone else. Sorry but I'm tired of NOT being treated with the loyalty and support I have given them for 38 years. I'm so done with them! I accepted their apologies for too many mistakes over and over again destroying our family appetites, time after time. What was once a 5 Star restaurant is no longer in existence in my book the last several years and especially this Christmas Eve dinner was a major total disaster! They just don't realize what they have been not doing to their customer base. ***They lost completely what made them famous in my book. Look on the internet momma Lombardi brothers, your business is going down the tubes and you have no one to blame but yourselves. Your not giving your restaurant the supervison, love, care and the quality it had for decades & decades anymore. The truth hurts I'm sorry to say! Hopefully you still have time left to correct, fix it but my family and friends want to say ARRIVEDERCI (GOODBYE) and good luck. We're never be seen again in your restaurants.......we will miss what you gave us a very very...
Read moreSo I ordered a dinner online and came to pick it up 45 minutes later. Told the girl that I was there for a pickup order. She asked if it was a catering order and I told her that it was an online order placed through their website. She asked of I phoned it in, I told her again that it was an online order that was placed through their website. She told me that their online ordering was turned off. I explained that I had an email confirmation and that I had already been charged. She told me that their online ordering was turned off and that she supposed that she could take my order and put it in. I told her that I already paid for it and she said that their system is turned off. I showed her the email confirmation on my phone and she walked away. Five minutes later she came back and ignored me as she answered a few phone calls. I asked her about my order and she said "He is checking downstairs" 10 minutes later some guy in a white shirt walks up to her from the back and they are dealing with a bunch of online orders that were made but they didn't know about. The girl looks at me and says "Come back in 45 minutes" How terrible, she continually treated me like an inconvenience, never apologized for the mix up and when I asked her if she could do better than the 45 minutes, she said that I would be lucky to get it that soon.
What a terrible person and a terrible experience. In the 15 minutes that I have been sitting here writing this review, I heard three other people complain about her attitude and rude service. I won't be back. Of my meal wasn't already paid for, I would have walked out long ago.
After I got back and sat down to eat, I noticed that my order was wrong, I got the wrong sauce with my Pasta. I tried calling and could not get through, so since it was a $5.00 upcharge for Alfredo sauce, I drove back, showed rude girl my email receipt and what was wrong. She said, "I see", took the pasta and went into the back. She cam back out and said "He's changing it". Five minutes later, she went back and came back out with the correct pasta and handed it to me and then turned nd walked away. No apology or anything, never a thank you.
The people on the carryout side are just terrible people. it is unbelievable how they treat everybody, especially rude girl.
Now I must add not to pay any attention to the response from Mama Lombardi's, they left no way to contact them or who to ask for. I have tried messaging them through their website, emailing them and calling them. I have yet to hear back from any of my attempts to contact them after more than two weeks. They have again proven that they have no desire to treat their customers with...

Update June 1, 2024 I've been coming to Mama Lombardi's for over twenty years. They make wonderful food and have always been a first class operation. I happened to stop there today, on my way home, from visiting an east end cemetery. I looked forward to having a few slices of brooklyn pizza. I usually go out of my way to come here just for this pizza. I live twenty miles from this place. I parked the car and walked inside. It was 1:05 p.m., well within the lunch serving window time, or at least I thought it was. When I looked at the offerings, I saw there was one slice of brooklyn pizza. I tried speaking to the young man behind the counter. He looked at me like I was trying to buy parts for a flying saucer. What I was trying to find out was when a fresh pie would be coming out of the oven. I repeated myself three times to this young man. He basically blew me off or didn't understand me. Really? I don't think this fellow had ten minutes of customer service training. I dont think He really even knew where he was. The only thing that would make sense having this fellow interacting with customers is perhaps if he was a relative of the owner. The boss's son, nephew, or grandson? It sure looked that way to me. The other odd thing to me was the fact that they were either very low or out of other selections of pizza's. It's lunchtime!!! How are you out of pizzas!!!! What could these pizzas cost ML to make? If this were my restaurant, I would want full cases of pizzas almost all of the time. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I left with no pizza and was more disappointed in the way I was handled. It's totally unacceptable. I honestly don't know what the hell happened here. Mama Lombardi's was never like this. My father always had an expression regarding sales and selling. Although very dated, he said, "You can't sell apples from an empty pushcart." It still holds true today. I don't think I'll be returning here anytime soon. Remember what I always say. At the end of the day, we all vote...
