Mi Tierrita Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Islip

My fiance and I decided to give mi tierrita in Brentwood a second try 1:we were seated directly across from their restroom 2: I always pay attention to timing once I'm seated---with that being said it took our server more than 5 mins. to approach our table...which felt like a half hour. 3:when asked for our drinks I requested water with lemon and my fiance ordered a coke..... within seconds he had his coke...my water w/lemon has yet to arrive...because it took several minutes for our server (female) to approach our table the countdown has really begun... in the mist of this, my fiance started pulling down the shade..it's really not a pleasant sight to see people coming in and out of the restroom...... 4: she comes to take our order...specified we wanted our meats well well cooked.. *another several minutes passed and my water with lemon has yet to arrive...keep in mind our server passed our table more than 4 times...on her passing by again my fiance then reminded her about my water...she replied oh yes It's coming....um okay..where the hell from WOW!! never thought it would take that long to have some water..... she seemed very lost I am NOW frustrated... Wow here comes my water a WHOPPING 12MINUTES LATER...I'M HIGHLY UPSET!!! And of course I should have known with no lemon so I ask may I please get some lemon...she says yes I'll be right back...before she could come with the lemons here comes our food...brought by other servers whom clearly had their own sections to tend to...my fiance did not want to start eating without me because I had no utensils....UUURRRGGGHHH!!!!!!our meat was undercooked..I can even continue...believe me when I tell you it did not end there...nunca jamás volverá ni recomendaría qué vallan a comer a mí tierrita...never again when I return nor recommend anyone to go eat at...

I dont usually leave poor ratings but if I dont say anything this restaurant may not make any changes. I called an order in this evening at 6:19pm because we really like the taste of the food here. We were told it would take 15-20min before we could pick up. I arrived at 6:45pm to find the restaurant overcrowded and with insufficient help. There were people standing all over the front counter waiting to be assisted. By the time a lady behind the counter asked if I needed help I told her I was picking up my order that I called in 40 mins prior. When I told her what I ordered she then stated that they ran out of shrimp. Which was one of the platters I had ordered over the phone. She never told me that over the phone at the time of the order. I had to then place an order for something else and wait another 15mins there again. This is unfortunate for any patron to experience. I was also told that they didnt have garlic sauce for the tostones I ordered. The lady's behind the counter were both frantic with customers seeking assistance. They clearly needed more help to sustain the volume of patrons and provide a reasonable level of service expected By the time I got home any hour later my original order to the typical plate was already cold. When I started eating I noticed the avocado in both platters were brown and not green. How can this be acceptable? I think Gordon Ramsey from Kitchen Nightmares should pay a visit to this place. Just because it is a Columbian restaurant that caters to a Hispanic community doesnt mean the quality of service should be less than acceptable especially at the cost they are charging for their plates....Patrons beware of the...

It is I had in my little restaurant in brentwood and the lady who works is very rude with the customers she was eating and she yelled at me to put on the most expensive to eat there to go to vain she believed it was fine but it is not rude I would not return to that restaurant As soon as you call her to tell her what came out of the food in the middle of the rice and the beans there was a metal from the dishwasher, 2 inches long, you see that they are very neglected and very rude, she is the owner of the restaurant, I do not recommend that restaurant Since it is very rude, the lady and dangerous can have accidents with those dirt in the food. then it was my pleasure that he would send me the plate. I do not change it but if I fully collect the order after this accident, I do not recommend
