Sarku has always been one of the busiest locations in the mall food court because of it's prime location (first place you see upon entering) and low price. Years ago the food was inexpensive but decent. The last few times I tried it it was really bad. I ordered chicken teriyaki with vegetables and opted for the fried rice. Fried rice usually has peas, carrots & egg in it- this was just brown, with maybe one or two peas in the whole serving- oily, chewy and burnt. The Teriyaki chicken was rubbery, with pieces of cartilage in it and the "vegetables" consisted of grilled cabbage...that's it. The guy next to me on line also ordered vegetables and got a piece of broccoli, I didn't.
The meal without a drink is less than $6, so it's not expensive- but the food is no longer decent. They recently installed a sushi area which I also tried- definitely to be avoided. They do little sales and the food is not fresh at all... something you don't want to see when dealing...

What makes it feel worse is that he packaged the takeout for the guy in queue before...

This one is the best Sarku for the...
