Sayville Pizza & Metros on main Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Islip

The pizza here is great, the bacon cheeseburger and the pepperoni pizzas especially.

But I can't give this place any higher than three stars because of how unprofessional and rude the service is.

Love the food, and I'll still order from here, but I really do NOT like the service here.

UPDATE: I'm bringing this place down to two stars, and I probably might not order here again despite the pizza being good, and that's me being as fair as possible.

I can't ever seem to order anything without the person over the phone being extremely rude for no reason.

Firstly, they love to hang up on you after they don't respond to information you give them for a few seconds and always have an attitude.

I don't understand why they're getting angry because they didn't like the tip I gave them. You should be happy I'm even tipping you at all or even ordering from your establishment considering how rude and disrespectful you are.

I shouldn't be tipping you at all if you're going to be rude to everyone every time someone orders from you.

It's not anyone else's problem that you'd rather work for tips than for an actual salary.

Grow up and do your job or go out of business. I'm sure Sayville won't miss you either way judging from the other negative reviews here.

How this place has many 5 star ratings and an overall 4.0 rating is beyond me.

Do not order from these people. They will take your money, then give you the run around for an hour before telling you that the store is closed at 5pm and there's nothing they can do for you. They honestly expect us to believe that the store was closed at 5pm, despite the order being confirmed AND money being withdrawn from my account.

We've been ordering from them on and off for years and it's never been anything but a headache. The pizzas also mediocre at best. Don't waste your time or money or patience on these people.

Edit to add: since the owner would like to reply with bullcrap excuses that I can't reply to.. I live in West Sayville. Internet been fine all day long and no one else I know in Sayville has had a problem at all. Matter of fact, I used my internet to order from them. Sayville is darling and charming place. Sayville Pizza has a nice and welcoming staff. Very friendly. Needed Gluten Free Pizza. Happened to be across street so we went in. I mean, we’re in New York so we figured any pizza will be good pizza. Not so. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything good about the Gluten Free Pizza. It was baked to order so I was bewildered when the toppings were barely warm - as was the rest of the pizza. Toppings pre-made and “warmed?” to put on pizza. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Still trying to figure it out.
