This Denny's doesn't meet up to even the low standards you have for a Denny's. This is the third and last time we ever go there. The first two times were bad and this time was worse.
When we arrived the restaurant was only half full yet the server's seemed to be baffled as to how to seat the four of us. After we sat it was a good 15 minutes before a server came by to take our drink orders. We had plenty of time to look at the menu so we ordered our food at the same time. It then took another 30-45 minutes to get our food. My wife's spaghetti was cold and the noodles were dry and firm, so we knew it had been sitting for some time. My hashbrowns and were also stone cold and my eggs were barely warm.
We waited for a bit while our kids ate and the server was nowhere to be found. I had to get up and walk to the server area to find someone. The manager was there and was none too friendly when I told him our food was cold. He followed me to the table and asked if we wanted them warmed and I said no. By this time they were well expired. He then asked if I wanted them to be remade and I said yes. I'm pretty sure he muttered something under his breath while walking away.
Awhile later our server came by and asked if "he" was remaking our dinners. Obviously no communication. She then offered to refill our drinks while we waited so I said yes. Then she asked if wanted something while we waited, but she didn't say if it would be complimentary or we would have to pay for it it, so I had to think about it for a second. But, no matter as she turned and walked away.
When our remade food finally came out kids were done eating. I checked my hashbrowns because the cheese on top wasn't melted and they were stone cold again. I asked for a third time to get hot food. This time the manager brought them out and he was definitely not happy and wouldn't even look at me.
Both my wife and I felt bad because our kids were getting bored since they were long done with their meals. We sort of hoped maybe they would offer them some desert or something for the inconvenience but we never saw our server again till she brought the bill. I looked and there was no consideration for the fact that we had been there almost two hours to eat and the trouble we had. They didn't care one bit, just another day.
When we got up to pay the bill the hostess asked how everything was so I told her the truth, that it was not very good. She asked if I wanted to talk to the manager and I told her he was part of the problem so I didn't think that would do any good. Then I got the deer in the headlights look as she just froze.
For the bad service I didn't leave a tip and when I got home I went to the Denny's survey feedback site and told them how I felt. We'll see if I hear back from them. I'm not holding my breath.
Other Denny's have at least decent service and the food is generally OK. This is the third time we've had food quality and poor service issues at this location so we're never going back...
Read moreHorrible! Absolute horrible! Ordered my sons food a couple mins before our meals, then we ordered our meals a few mins later. I order the Super Slampler, she asks if I want bacon or sausage, I say bacon. When server brought his out, didn't have his eggs. They forgot to make em. My son eats his meal and finally, our food comes out like 10 mins later, puts a "super bird" meal in front of me. I say "I didn't order the super bird I ordered the Super Slampler." She takes it away and says "sorry, I'll have them make yours." In the mean time my wife starts eating her meal. She looks at her chicken sandwich, and sees the tomato pieces are BOTH the end pieces. While waiting for my food, which I swear it took 15 mins to make my meal, 1 french toast, 2 pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon, the server said to me "I took the super bird off your bill, and gave you 20% off your whole order." I would hope she would take that off if I didn't order or get it! When I get my food I get 1 piece of bacon and 1 piece of sausage. I ordered BACON! But at this point its whatever cuz my wife and son are done eating and waiting for me. I ate, paid my bill and got out of there. Also we noticed other servers playing with their hair and not washing or sanitizing their hands. We went their friday February 8 2019 at around 615. P.S. For the lady with the family that sat behind us. You ordered a super bird meal to go. It probably wasn't freshly made, it was probably the 1 they tried...
Read moreI get that ordering Zesty Nachos for pickup at 12AM is not going to result in the best nachos of my life. However, what I received was probably the most disgusting jumble of just chips and sour cream I've ever seen. It looked like someone dumped an entire container of sour cream on top of old tortilla chips and decided "Yeah, this looks edible" and had the audacity to send it out. Upon trying to call back to rectify the situation, I called a total of 5 times, that went unanswered (at least 7-10 rings), before on the 6th attempt, after 5 rings, I was met with the most unenthusiastic "This is Denny's, can I help you?", to which I explained my situation rather aggressively as I had just spent 20 minutes trying to call, and was told "yeah, we'll make you new ones, come get them". Now you understand my hesitation as I had ordered online because I didn't want to deal with what Denny's considers the "cream of the crop", so I ensured I wouldn't be charged, to which I was met with "ugh, I'm not going to charge you for the nachossss". My boyfriend had to drive out again to fix what they had already messed up, and what he returned with was nothing short of what I can think Tortillas a'la Diarrhea would look like with NONE of the Zesty Nacho toppings. To say I'm dissatisfied is an understatement. I would rather ritualistically sacrifice members of my own family before so much as spending another dime at...
