So this place is super cool! It has a great bar, a great atmosphere, and great service! My wife and I arrived yesterday and were promptly seated and our drink orders were taken. We then put food in pretty quickly. We ordered the cherry glazed shrimp, the nachos, the street corn, and the sweet potato fries. We'll start at the beginning. First off the drinks were fantastic! The bartender really knows what he's doing, that's for sure! Ask for the food, it's a bit of a different story. So for the most part, everything had the potential to be really good. The only thing that everything was locking was intensity of flavor. Everything was bland and needed salt and seasoning. The shrimp were cooked well and had a nice red cherry glaze and the salad around. It was kind of a cabbagey mixture. It reminded us both of the inside of a egg roll you get at a Chinese restaurant. Kind of an Asian flavor. The street corn came with two roughly 4-in pieces of corn that were lightly deep fried in something but again lacked flavor . Once I added more salt than I thought I would need to, it tasted okay. But would have been better if the salt was incorporated when cooked. Same with the sweet potato fries. They were well cooked but had a lot more sugar than salt. I really wish they had had a good Melba sauce to go with it. The ranch sauce they provided was actually pretty good but I'm a Melba guy through and through. And finally the nachos. Had a great sauce on top but I wish I had more. The meat was perfectly cooked but again unseasoned. It seems to be a common theme up here in the north with blander food. But it's an easy thing to fix! We ordered a second round of drinks at this point which also were fantastic. My wife got the 007 vodka gin martini and I got the pain killer. Very well made and high quality! The atmosphere in this place is awesome, we will definitely be back but when we order food we'll definitely have to specify to have it well seasoned.

I have had this restaurant on my list of places to try for awhile now. A friend and I met up for dinner last night and had an enjoyable experience. To begin, there is a great vibe to the place; love the speakeasy feel. No loud music playing, so you can actually have a conversation. Very relaxed and didn't feel rushed at all. Our server (also the bartender) Brandon did a great job of handling both the bar and the tables nearby he was waiting on. Big props to him for being completely relaxed and chill as he moved effortlessly among everyone and was friendly and pleasant, too. Neither my friend nor I drink alcohol, so we were pleasantly surprised to find a nice mocktail menu. She ordered the Summer Peach Fizz and loved it; the same was true for me with the Coconut Pineapple Lemonade. We each ordered tacos - fish for her and grilled chicken for me. She proclaimed hers "okay"; for the price, they didn't seem very full, but they did taste good. Mine were excellent - great flavor to the chicken, cooked well, and pretty full. They didn't come with a side, which was fine as they were filling, but at $22, I feel they should have or had a lower price point. I do understand restaurant costs these days, but that seems a bit steep for, essentially, 3 tacos. Churros were the pick for dessert. They were delicious! Served with a salted caramel sauce (I might have dipped the strawberry garnish in it). Definitely recommend and could be shared as there were 4 in the order. Overall, a repeat for me as the service was great (which can be hard to find these days), it was a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours, and the food was very good. They have a seasonal menu, so I would also be curious to see what is offered on the new one as fall/winter approaches.

This used to be my go-to place to eat every weekend. Sadly, the consistency is just not there. Sometimes the food is great, other times, not so much. I had an inedible chicken sandwich before and sweet potatoes in a salad that were rock hard. Sometimes, grilled citrus is served with the items as stated in the menu, sometimes it’s not. The fish is usually good, but for months, they were accidentally serving the wrong portion and giving 2 pieces. So when I started going, I used to get the 2 pieces only to be told months later, it was incorrect and should be a single piece. The fries are sometimes under seasoned, sometimes over. It’s a really cool looking place with interesting drinks. The chicken tenders and mini sliders are good options. The brownie sundae is dangerously good. I wish the food would be consistent in terms of temperature, portion sizes, and quality. I would have given it a 5 when I first started coming here but the food hasn’t been great the past few times and service was so slow, we were there an hour (after being seated immediately), waiting for our food and our check. Eating took about 35 minutes so the majority of our time was just sitting there. Staff turnover seems really high.

The good: The drinks were amazing. Great flavor profiles and each drink was meticulously hand crafted with skill. My partner and I really enjoyed the drinks. We each had one and shared a 3rd. The service was fantastic. The bartender was attentive, even with a busy bar. We moved to a table for dinner and our waiter was great. He checked on us frequently and was very nice. The atmosphere was great. Cool spot. Low key, chill vibe and the back dining area was decorated with fun things on the wall and cool hanging lights The not so good: Our food was really disappointing. We ordered sweet potatoes fries as an app and they were not crispy and overall just really greasy... the dipping sauce was good though! For dinner, we both ordered the tacos. One order with grilled fish and the other chili- lime carnitas. When the tacos came out it was hard to find any fish in the tacos and in fact, we thought our order got mixed up and we got chicken tacos instead. So basically the fish was indistinguishable. Is it chicken? Is it fish? Why is there so little? The chili lime carnitas tacos were ok, but really lacked flavor of chili or lime. The few chunks of pineapple were nice though. The side our dishes came with a side of coleslaw and it was just awful. It was a goopy, thick , gelatinous mass of shredded cabbage. Honestly, it was inedible. It seemed like an after thought and It shouldn't have even been on the plate. Considering the price of the tacos, I had much higher expectations. I'm hoping it was just an off night and next time I come the meal will be as good as the drinks and...
