LaLima's Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Monroe

Today I went to buy butter cookies, it was 3pm. There was two young ladies behind the counter, one was cleaning and the other was attending a customer with a cannoli order, in front of me there was a customer waiting, once the young lady finished with the customer, she went ahead and help the next person mind you I was already waiting 10 mins then two more customers came in, now the waiting line it’s getting longer… so now I asked the young lady if the other girl can take of customers because now the line is getting longer and it shouldn’t take 25mins to buy butter cookies, her answer to me was that she can’t take cake of customers because she’s cleaning because they will be closing shortly, at that point I’m a little confused 🤔 even the lady that was next to me waiting as well also made a comment. The lady that was cleaning actually stopped cleaning and went ahead to take care of the customers, she actually used her brain for the best of the Bussines, the other young girl did not care about...

I was looking through GrubHub one afternoon to find something to bring to an office event that I wouldn't have to go and get because admittedly I am extremely lazy. Searching Bakeries and these nice folks showed up, so I placed an order for a bunch of cannolis. An hour later I realized GrubHub doesn't notify the restaurant until about an hour before the order needs to be delivered, and with a fairly large order that would be unfair to them to be suddenly hit with this order, so I contacted them through Google's messaging service to give them a heads up. They were incredibly friendly and, having never worked through GrubHub before neither one of us had any idea how this would work out.

To make a long story short the order arrived at my door without issue and let me tell you If there is a heaven after this life then this is what the cannolis taste like. they are well worth the price and if you are in the market for a good cannoli then this should be your go-to if you are...

This place is great at what they do! I grew up in Monroe, but now live in Virginia. My parents still live in Monroe and I decided to purchase a box of pastries for them. I had never been to this bakery before, but was impressed with their website and their reviews. I placed an order last week and spoke with a very nice woman and then the owner. Randi was extremely friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to help me place an out-of-state order. It was so easy and as a mother of two young children, I really appreciated her help! My parents were blown away by the taste and variety of baked goods. As resident NY'ers, they said the pastries brought back memories of the small Italian bakeries in little Italy and Arthur Ave. I wish we had a bakeshop like this in Virginia!
