Prop's Inn — Restaurant in Town of New Hartford

Great place to stop and get a quick bite! Burgers are big, filling and flavorful. I ordered one of their specials, which changes every so often, lasagna which was enormous but so delicious that I had to finish every last bite. They have limited seating for food but a bar inside adds a few more options to dine. Has a couple televisions usually on sporting events or the local news. The service was quick friendly and courteous. Also had the soup of the day which was too much for my girlfriend to eat but perfect for me to help finish. We stumbled upon Prop's Inn while making a trip to Utica to do some shopping at the mall. We were looking for a non chain restaurant to eat in and saw their Friday Fish Fry sign out in front. We made a turn around and pulled in. What a pleasant surprise it was when we entered to see the retro booths and the neighborhood crowd gathered inside for an afternoon of conversation and relaxation. The fried bologna sandwich with long hots, what can I say but WOW! It reminds me of my childhood and having a fried bologna sandwich with my dad. Get it with the hot mustard and their homemade chips and you have an excellent meal for great value. Get a cold one to go with it and enjoy! Always a pleasure...
