Hi Friends,
This place is very bad and would not recommend to anyone. This is not an Indian Restaurant and being run by our neighbours. It's not about the management but the overall experience I had.The reason for my review is this - " I choose this restaurant based on Google reviews only but had a horrible experience.I don't want others to suffer like I did".
I rarely write reviews that too a bad one (this being my first time) I have ordered one chicken biryani(this guy put loads and loads of clarified butter-desi ghee.).The rice was so greasy it was very difficult to eat coupled with the smell.Even the chicken pieces were half-cooked.You can see the white color of the chicken still. He gave 10 pieces liek that and everything was undercooked.
Same happened to the Butter Chicken. The chicken was uncooked and the gravy was very bad.Only thing I could manage was the Naan but it was also hard.
BOTTOM LINE: Avoid this restaurant and Save money. If you want try Minar Fine Indian Cuisine( though little less ratings than this but food way ahead in quality/taste).The Taj Mahal is robbing people and the brand name called INDIAN CUISINE.
I am so so disappointed that I had to give it 1 Star otherwise I couldn't submit this request.Never suggest anyone to visit this place , not even in...
Read moreI don’t typically write reviews, but man this place was great. As a hispanic student who was so used to eating homemade rice, beans, and chicken and other meals, now attending a college far away from home, I was missing that homemade, home cooked feel to food, especially since campus food is pretty dull sometimes (not always) and the rice has no flavor, and rice is a big part of what I eat and it is missing texture and flavor her eon campus. This place really delivers when it comes to that though. I got the Tikka Masala with white rice and fried onions on the side all for take out. The chicken was perfect, the sauce was amazing with a perfect balance of sweet, savory and spicy, the rice was well cooked and seasoned and the fried onions were perfectly fried and battered. Really great skill here when it comes to food and you can tell its got that homemade feel to it, especially since the wait is like 20 or so minutes, which by the way was how long they told me the food would take to be ready, and it almost took exactly that time so props to them for that too. This was my first time ever trying authentic Indian food and this place really delivered. Will definitely be returning for the curry...

Called for a pick up. As soon as the phone was answered "Taj Mahal," the employee asked, "You want Chicken Tikka Masala?" In fact, the order did include Chicken Tikka so, as odd as the question was, the answer was yes. The employee asked an additional three times if we would like Tikka. "No, just one."
Finished the phone order.
When picking up, there were two orders of Tikka billed. The employee argued two were ordered. They were not, we replied The employee begrudgingly deducted the second order from the bill. We left with two orders.
Upon tasting it, the Tikka had an incredibly distasteful, very strong burned flavor. Everyone who tried it reported the same. The supposition is they prepped a large pot of Tikka and the bottom burned. This caused the burned flavor to transfer throughout the entire pot.
Either throw out the burned and remake, or take Tikka off the menu for the night. Their deception is far more unpalatable than the rancid Tikka.
You lost a...
