This is another place im hesitant to tell about, cuz its so good im worried ill never get a seat again, lol. My Grandma, Aunt, and Mom all liked this place, and so ive come over the years with my own wife and kids. The service is always brisk, efficient, and cheerful. The food is great. I always get a Reuben, cuz they make the best in the area. They had Saranac (local brand!) Pumpkin Ale, on tap! I cant even find it in the stores. As usual, we brought some home. Prices are reasonable. A good old fashioned family run restaurant. :)

Pumpernickel's is a busy place on a Friday night. It's easy to see why. I am a repeat customer and have never had a mediocre meal or poor service. The staff is always courteous and, time permitting, one of the proprietors will greet you. And the food? Tonight my partner and I selected from the day's specials, right off the chalk board. Egg Plant Parm for me, a nice Beet Salad for my partner. Looks pretty good, doesn't it!

Food was fantastic!! The portions were generous. I had pastrami on Marble rye, my companion had a turkey wrap. We each took half of a sandwich home. The staff were so friendly and organized even though they were super busy!! The decor with the playbills and posters was so much fun to look at and explore. Everything was clean. We had a marvelous time. We can't wait to go back.

There's a good reason this place has been around as long as it has...EXCELLENT food, AMAZING servers and a clean, nice place! Phil is an amazing guy, and his pride shows in the quality of his food, the staff that represent him, and it's no wonder he's been in business for decades!

Went with my wife for dinner tonight and as always, Pumpernickel's did not disappoint. We don't come out enough. Our server was attentive and jovial, and the food is fresh...almost everything homemade. Oh...and get dessert...trust me...

So, if you are reading this, you probably have never been, because if you had eaten here before, you'd already know how good this place is and wouldn't need to read my review. So go, now......

Had a very bad experience although the waitress was very nice and polite I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with mushrooms onions and peppers on a grilled brioche bun what I got was a fried chicken patty on Italian bread it was burnt the chicken tasted like fish the side of fries was uncooked and the coleslaw tasted like it was from a jar called to explain my situation after getting back to the job site to eat lunch then found out the woman I spoke to on the phone told me I didn't order my lunch from there and it didn't come from there obviously I won't be going back obviously very dissatisfied would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason wish I could post a...

Tonight my wife and I ordered fish fry's to go. I place our order at 4:45 pm with a pick up time of 6:45 pm. As I arrived and went inside I could see it was very busy. I gave my name and after waiting patiently for over a half an hour the owner (Phil) came to me and apologized for the long wait and offered a certificate on our next purchase. I told him thank you and understand the situation. Phil, the wait was definitely worth it and would do it over again. One of the best fish fry's I had in a while!
