Peregrine Dining Hall — Restaurant in Town of New Paltz

Consistently disgusting, doesn’t taste like normal food. The plates are consistently dirty or have puddles of water in them. Additionally, they routinely are out of silverware and dishes, I have to always ask for a bowl or a spoon or something. It is ridiculous. My biggest gripe is the late night menu is never consistent. I don’t eat red meat and the past few nights they have not offered chicken patties or had halal chicken, which means my only options left is mediocre, greasy pizza. Why am I paying 3,000 dollars to eat pizza every night. This is beyond abysmal and it has gotten out of hand and in need of some serious changes/consistency. The only positive is that many workers are incredibly nice. But...

the only consistent food is fried and high in calories i am constantly getting nauseous and bad stomach aches from the food here my biggest problem is the fruits and yogurt section they said berries are out of the budget but then where are my thousands of dollars going?? i’ll bite into apples and taste the preservatives and wax on the skin they only serve the fruit that no one really likes (cantaloupe and papaya) because it is the cheapest to get in bulk the yogurt is very high in sugar it’s hard to stay healthy on this campus especially when other places on campus are equally as bad

So many memories here. Back in my day, Peregrine Dining Hall was called Hasbrouck Dining Hall. We used to refer to it as Haz. Do you want to go to Haz? What do kids say now? Want to go to Grin? Want to go to Grin with me?

Anyway, assuming nothing has changed, besides a global pandemic, the breakfast here is pretty good. I liked coming here on Sundays and getting the freshly made egg sandwiches. And I have to commend New Paltz for being so early to the game with vegan and vegetarian options. Carob chip...
