Convenient Deli — Restaurant in Town of New Paltz

Update to the review below: I have returned several times to this deli deli my previous 2-star review as it is very close to my job. I learned to call ahead with my order, and they always say it will take 15 mins. However when calling ahead the good has always been ready for pickup and I have never had to wait in line since. Also, yes there is always music, but it's not always loud and not always club music. I don't think I've had to shout since that one day in my previous review. The veggie breakfast burrito has been my regular order because it's a healthy choice and tastes good even though it's not spicy. It's big enough that I can eat half for breakfast and half for lunch. I also like their kale salad. They def massage their kale like everyone ought to. 😊 Staff is always friendly and I have noticed them getting returning customers by name.

Original review: Writing this so that hopefully things change. Just took 15 mins to buy a cup of coffee. The other day it took 30 mins to get a breakfast burrito. Why so long? Because people who are ordering food and people who are paying have to wait in the same line. If you order food, you have to wait on line to order and then wait on line a second time to pay. Plus, the cashier was busy making food with her back to the register. It is anything but convenient. It would be far better to take food orders at the deli counter like they used to before new management, or at least order and pay at the same time so that you don't have to wait on line twice. Maybe have a waiting area for food because it's always a cluster of people standing around near the register and you have to ask people if they are in line or just waiting for their food. Be prepared for there to be loud club music playing even first thing in the morning (why???). Loud enough that you have to speak up when ordering. The lemon poppy seed muffin was honestly terrible. Tasted like Bisquick and lemon Pledge. It had no ingredients list or label of any kind. The breakfast burrito was okay, mediocre but fine, what you might expect from a small town deli like this. I recommend to add something spicy to it (pepper jack, hot sauce, jalapenos or something) because it's more of a breakfast wrap than a burrito. Overall I hope you have a better...

As someone who grew up in this town, this hurts to see. So Tuesday my girlfriend DoorDashed a sandwich , roast beef on a roll Swiss LTOM, and upon arrival it turns out they made it with pastrami. She proceeded to call and let them know, but ate the sandwich anyways. Last night (the following day) I was walking by and decided to pick up the same sandwich and what do you know? Still putting pastrami instead of roast beef. Came in and ordered with the OWNER and extremely disappointed. If you don’t know what deli meat is what and don’t care to fix things when brought to your attention, give it up. Place has been downhill for years but new management HASNT MADE IT BETTER. WILL NOOOOT BE ORDERING FOOD AGAIN....

First off this wrap shouldn't have roasted peppers on it and there just isn't cheese. It feels like they randomly put your order together each time I order food. Ask for cheddar they put American, ask for butter they don't add butter, ask for a chicken and cheese quesadilla and they give you an onion, pepper, and olive quesadilla that isn't even cooked. I literally have no idea how they're still open or why I keep buying sandwiches from them. They literally can't make sandwiches. Sometimes the chicken cutlets are paper thin and burnt. Sometimes the chicken cutlets are moist and juicy. Who knows what it'll be this week? I'm just so done...
