My family came here for the first time for my daughters 15th Birthday. We all loved it. The wait staff is AWESOME. The food is really, really good and FRESH!! Portions are big. So be sure to arrive with an appetite. The guacamole is made fresh in front of you or at a small station in the center of the restaurant. It is sooo good that my husband who hates guacamole and cilantro ate HALF of the bowl 😳😀 lol. The Chips are also warm and fresh. Nice and crispy. We ordered our apps and dinner. Right after we ordered our food our waiter brought us each a hot freshly made cheese quesadilla. After we ate our complimentary quesadillas our apps came out. Wooo lots of yummy food. Our dinners came out and boy we were so stuffed. Could only get through half of our dishes lol. We asked for boxes to take our left overs home. After packing our food up haha they suprised us and and my daughter with a special Birthday celebration. A small piece of cake and placed a huge sumbrero on her head we all sang Happy Birthday. It was fun!! As she was eating her cake they quickly came up to our table with complimentary fried tortillas stuffed with banana, Carmel drizzle, chocolate and whip cream for all of us. We thought that was awesome because we didn't ask for it. Very nice. In a nutshell I am upset we have not Come here sooner. The food was amazing with lots of flavor. The decor is warm, colorful, very welcoming oh and very clean. If you are an adult and come here on date night or with friends be sure to have a designated driver. Man the drinks are stiff and they also give out lots of complimentary shots.😀🍹 So definetly give this place a try. You and your family...
Read moreAtmosphere was spot on, full of colorful decor and Mexican background. The clay cups and bowls were nice and authentic. The music in the background had mariachi and other authentic Mexican music and photos around the restaurant. If I rated it just on atmosphere it’d be a 5. When it comes to the food though and price that was my biggest disappointment. The cóctel was white people cóctel and the tacos were white people tacos. I’m a white person myself and I know what a Mexican taco vs American taco is. Hard shell ground beef bagged cheese and bagged lettuce for a taco w the Ortega tasting sauce not authentic at all. The sauce for the enchiladas tasted like it was out of a can and they don’t make fresh from hatch pepper made sauces. The flan was so disgusting, it was more gelatinous and tasted like it was in one of those store bought Goya packages full of caramel no fluff or flavor like eating a caramel gummy. The desserts were mini size for the price of a full size I can get at other Mexican restaurants. $12 for a small bowl the size of one avacado for guacamole was a overcharged. The taste of the guacamole was delicious and they made it in front of you to the side but the price for the size is outrageous of what you can get elsewhere in area. They charged $5 for an horchata and for refill did not say would charge another $5. $10 for horchata was out priced. At least they do offer the drink. They did do a nice birthday song w a mariachi hat for my hubbies birthday with a thumb size chimi. If you want good atmosphere come here. If you want authentic good Mexican food not...
Read moreMy husband & I ordered online. 2 dinner meals for $20/each. We were told 20 min. It took over an hour, And when my husband arrived for pick up, there were only a handful of customers. He was asked to pay up front. When the food came out, my entire meal was in one of those small pie pans. Half the tray was refried beans (a congealed mess with cheese on top). A scoop of rice, with 3 tortillas, a spoonful of guacamole and a mess of sour cream. My husband's came in 3 small trays. The sauce on his steak had so much vinegar/acidity that he gagged at the first bite (he's Puerto Rican and LOVES all spanish food, so this is frightening). Honestly, the food was edible, but not amazing. And the quantity was poor. We were both hungry after finishing. They did provide a large paper bag of greasy fried tortilla chips, which are great to eat once cooled (sarcasm: not a good choice for take out). Yummy Taco by Target has better tasting, better quantities for better prices. This just affirms my husband's belief to never try something new (so, thanks Chilitos... I finally convinced him to try something new, and it...
