Coincidentally, after that review, there have been 3 more 5 star reviews posted within an hour. In these reviews from “Derek Jeter” to whomever else, they go out of the way to address almost everything mentioned in my comments. This is more validation of the truth of my comments and what occurred with my mother’s situation and how the real patient experience is. Why else would there be an immediate need to respond with 3 reviews for show, as opposed to facts.

Also to refer to the Derek Jeter review, the person said they just left the Great Neck office. However, Dr. Shalom was in Garden City today, not her Great Neck office. I’m not sure how that person claims they just left the office in Great Neck today. * The Derek Jeter comment was just edited 30 minutes ago. The person or people changed the statement about leaving the Great Neck office to just leaving her office. This is obviously due to it being a false review to provide false information that they felt the need to fix due to me fact checking it. I’m not sure the purpose of the fake post and new edit other than to cover themselves for an obviously lie and false 5 star review. The bizarre behavior by the office is concerning. I think the person responsible for this probably could use a psychologist more than urogynecologist.

I wish Dr. Shalom and the practice well, but honesty and truth is what’s important here for patients and people, or is it about image and money?

I posted a sincere, detailed and accurate review. The review was truthful and not harsh regarding my mother’s true experience. For there to be a combative response that was obviously addressed by her or her office, seems extreme and concerning.

As it is obvious she or her office read my review, because of comments to the 3 other reviews after mine that were posted today, and not to mine. She or her office could have replied directly and addressed the concerns in my review or other reviews previously posted that weren’t fully positive. However, they choose not to reply to the accurate reviews they dislike and instead it seems either through herself, her staff, or asking patients, they create opposing reviews within the hour. The office responded to those very quickly too, with responses from the owner.

You can sort the reviews in order starting with the newest. Then ask yourself this, do the previous 3 reviews and responses after mine seem odd or not? I urge anyone to read for themselves and decide....

Dr Shalom is an incredibly knowledgeable, kind, understanding, sympathetic and professional woman. I have never met another doctor who was so warm and genuinely cares about her patient's health, comfort and wellbeing. I am beyond grateful to her and her staff for the lifetime of laughs, coughs and sneezes I no longer need to fear! I had the privilege of visiting her at her Garden City and Manhasset offices, the staff at each location were equally helpful, professional and wonderful. I'm a real person, I like dealing with real people who get that I didn't go to medical school, that I was nervous and frankly often embarrassed due to my issue. Dr Shalom (and staff) talked with me, not at me, made me feel comfortable, and assured me that I was not alone. She's smart as a whip, has a good sense of humor (which is needed in awkward situations) and just enough humility to make you feel comfortable with uncomfortable problems. I cannot praise her enough, I cannot recommend her more! If you're on the fence, just go talk to her, it doesn't hurt to talk, and she will have your full confidence in a short time, as...

Dr. Dara Shalom is my urogynecologist and I recently had a surgical procedure performed by her. Pre surgically she went over every aspect of the procedure and when I requested that my husband also be educated about the procedure she was more than willing to see us both again for his benefit. The surgery went very well. Dr. Shalom was constantly checking on me during my time in the recovery room and after. I've had some questions as I convalesce and she has been more than attentive. Her bedside manner is warm, yet professional. No question is foolish. She never rushes you, taking time to answer all questions thoroughly. Her support staff is also fabulous.
