The grandmothers in the kitchen cooking exceptional authentic Italian food from the hot food to the way they aren't cheap with the meat for sandwiches weather it's chicken parm to a Capocollo with fresh mozzarella balsamic it's always stuffed and good try to avoid the Spanish guy behind counter he always messes up by forgetting something and not as generous with the meat... he's nice and kind but the owners Rosa and her husband a terrific especially Rosa she will go above and beyond to make you happy and full with left overs and going in there seeing her smile even tho underneath she's stressed but will still go above and beyond. making you feel welcome and will make you something even when it's not out.. she had fried ravioli and customer before took the rest but I ask if she had more she said no at first but she said she'll see what she can do and made them fresh just for me gave me extra bread and a container of her amazing vodka sauce for no charge in her words " your a growing boy let me give you more bread" just to dip in her vodka sauce that she blessed me with.. the Spanish guy is cheap but he an employee I get that he not the owner I like him but I always avoid and get someone else.. the food is like cooking at home or better the Spanish guy is avoidable also the food is phenomenal that I wish I could go higher then 5 stars.. Everyone raved about my antipasto pasta salad. They sell many different shaped kinds of pasta, so when making my salad, you can pick your favorite shape. I mix in the antipasto, extra olive oil and red wine vinegar, and Italian seasoning and a dash of red pepper flakes. They also have various meats, olives, salads, and hot foods available too. This is one of the best delis on Long island. They make some of the best mozzarella cheese I've ever had in my entire life. I ordered a chicken cutlet hero with iceberg lettuce, roasted red peppers and the fresh mozzarella cheese with Russian dressing. It was delicious. They also have imported meats and domestic meets but I highly recommend the imported meats because they are just better. They have a good Italian section of beans.
