It's been five months since Gino's Pizza Parlor in Roslyn, has been open. I drive by the area frequently. But, today I finally made it inside. As I gazed up at the sign. I enjoyed seeing the word Parlor. It's nostalgic, I was intrigued, wondering and hoping for something different. Most people say and use the term Pizzeria. There's still generations of young people who aren't familiar with the term, Pizza Parlor. It's not a new concept. But, Gino's Pizza Parlor of Roslyn, is making it that way and, in several ways. First off, the staff's friendliness, since of humor, knowledge of dishes, area and kindness and courtesies extended to patrons. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Regarding the food, I was expecting the same basic cheese pizza. Visually, the presentation of dishes and pizza wasn't to impressive or appetizing. In fact, I wanted to walk out. But, I stayed the course. Later, I realized what a major mistake that would have been on my part. Instead of regrets I actually had the experience of biting into a plain slice of pizza, that transported me to italy, possible, the Amalfi Coast or Sicily. I can't put my finger on the precise location. But, Italy for sure. I tell ya, the taste, the flavors will transport your taste buds to an enjoyable, happy but memorable place. Yes, the Parlor, is where you can meet up with friend (s), talk and laugh openly over a good meal. The chairs and restaurant lay out remind you of a french bistro. Which goes perfect in Gino's Pizza Parlor. There's beautiful seating outside. Which, patrons had clearly taken advantage of. Someone mentioned the place was small. But, looks like seating outside could fit five at each table setting, that would be aprox 15 in total. Inside aprox 25-30 people with room to spare. Not bad, considering most Pizzeria's have people who take out, deliver or sit and eat quickly. Gino's Pizza Parlor, is different, yes those options are available to you. But, most come to break bread with friends, coworkers and the like. Patrons are not in a rush, they have come to enjoy their meal and be transported in time by their first bite. Gino's Pizza Parlor of Roslyn, does that. Did I mention the impressive, flawless monster oven. Gino's Pizza Parlor, just come. I hear their vodka sauce will keep you coming...
Read moreMy name is Angel. Gino's Pizza Parlor of Roslyn is truly amazing. The owners and staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional. They are all very genuine and sincere about serving their customers and making them happy with the awesome delicious meals, heroes and salads, etc... I highly recommend this pizza parlor to anyone who is serious about awesome and amazing food. I have been a patron for 2 months. I order the Gino salad chopped up with grilled chicken also chopped up. I get it with no black olives and no pimento. The Italian dressing is awesome. The salad is so out of this world that I get it for lunch and dinner daily. I also order 6 salads on Friday evening to get me through the weekend. You owe it to yourself to enjoy the best pizza, salads, heroes and food Gino's Pizza Parlor offers. You will NOT be disappointed. The prices are very reasonable. Gino's Pizza Parlor of Roslyn is a true blessing and...
Read moreThis will be my first and last time coming here due to the horrible customer service I received on 09/11/22. When I came in , the cashier completely ignored me and started playing with empty boxes and cups. I waited awhile because I really thought he was fixing someone's order or restocking items but he wasn't . A nice old lady came in after me and he took her order without hesitation before taking mine. After taking her order I asked can I order something. He rolled his eyes and took my order. He was rude and wasn't welcoming at all. I know how to read a room and I see I wasn't welcomed. So I won't be coming back. I would've walked out from the beginning but I was on my lunch break and was in a rush. The pizza was good though. Cashier dude if your going to have an attitude for no reason, at least make sure your hair...
