I am writing this review because I truly see a lot of potential in your restaurant. There are aspects of the experience that I really enjoy, which is why I gave it a second try last night. However, there are also several areas that I believe could be improved in order to make it a truly great dining destination. My hope is that by sharing this feedback, it will be taken into consideration by management. To start with the positives: your koobideh is, without question, the best in New York — it is phenomenal. The kashke bademjan is also outstanding, and the albaloo ice cream is fantastic. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice, and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into creating a beautiful setting. I also noticed that service times have improved since my first visit, which is a step in the right direction. That being said, there are some challenges holding the restaurant back. Some of the dishes are inconsistent — while the koobideh excels, I found the bargh, joojeh, salmon kebab, and salads to be disappointing in both taste and portion size. For example, the bargh portion is much smaller compared to other restaurants, where it tends to be thicker and juicier. Additionally, certain menu items are not always available, which feels unusual and frustrating as a customer.Service is another area that could be improved. There often seems to be a shortage of staff, and the owner came across as unwelcoming during my visits. A warmer, friendlier service experience would make a big difference. Lastly, while the ambiance is elegant, the music feels outdated. Playing more contemporary, trendier music could help create a livelier, more enjoyable atmosphere. Pricing is also on the higher side, which may discourage return visits given the inconsistencies in food and service. Overall, I do believe your restaurant is good and has tremendous potential. With improvements in food consistency, service, portion sizes, pricing, and atmosphere, I’m confident it could become one of the best dining spots in the city. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I look forward to seeing how the restaurant grows and improves in the future.

Read moreOpening a new restaurant is not easy. I will focus on points of constructive criticism, because both the food and the service left something to be desired. I hope the restaurant owners see this as encouragement to strive for improvement. The pita bread at the beginning was dry, the salad shirazi was sweet somehow and lacked the minty freshness it usually should have, the sour cherries in the albaloo polo were dried and hard cherries, and the koobideh was definitely not in my taste at least - it might’ve been an older lamb (more on the sheep side) because the smell of this meat was overwhelming, and I would’ve preferred beef or at least younger/high quality lamb meat. On top of that, I suggest they clarify descriptions on the menu - the signature “Turquoise kabab” was supposed to be chicken wrapped in beef. This was a bit misleading to say the least, as it was simply a skewer with alternating pieces of chicken and meat. There was also a misunderstanding where they brought out something other than what we ordered, which is natural and fine - but considering everything else, this did bring down the whole experience somewhat. The servers did their best and the place was very clean but I would strongly suggest to focus on improving the dishes - this would bring the ratings up.
The good points were the cleanliness and that the amount of food was plenty and enough...
Read moreTurquoise Persian Grill offers a delightful dining experience in a spacious, clean, and beautifully designed space, perfect for both casual meals and events. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with attentive service that ensures every need is met.
The appetizers, including the creamy hummus, smoky babaganoush, and crispy mini Turquoise Tachin, were full of flavor and set the stage for the meal. The Darbari Combo, featuring a variety of perfectly grilled skewers like juicy koobideh, tender negini, flavorful joojeh chicken, melt-in-your-mouth barg beef, and smoky lamb chops, was a standout. The accompanying rice dishes—Shirin Polo, Albaloo Polo, and Zereshk Polo—offered a wonderful balance of sweet, tart, and savory flavors.
The Salad Shirazi was refreshing, and the Sour Cherry Ice Cream provided a tart, creamy finish. The Yalda Tini cocktail added a fruity, refreshing touch to the meal.
Overall, Turquoise Persian Grill excels not only with its high-quality dishes but also with its top-notch service and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. Cannot...
