While Bryant Library was conveniently close to our previous home, it’s in need of some major upgrades—both in terms of infrastructure and staffing. As previous residents of Roslyn, we actually used to prefer driving the extra 10 minutes to Port Washington Library because the experience there is far more welcoming and comfortable. Unfortunately, the staff at Bryant Library can be quite inconsistent and sometimes impolite, making visits less pleasant depending on their mood.

There is a pretty decent collection of books on the shelves, a large seating area, computers (desktops) available by the hour and private rooms you can book for events.
Staff were friendly and warm and everyone respected the space by being quiet. I dropped in around 10a on a weekday when it tends to be quieter. So worth the stroll before or after your visit.

   Read moreAttended a concert here in the upstairs hall on 2/29/2023. The library itself is located in a beautiful setting ideal for an outdoor stroll. The concert lasted one hour with some classical and other pieces. A pianist, harpist and flautest made up the entertaining trio. If you go to the Bryant Library website you can enter your email address to get their eBlasts aboit upcoming programs. The library is situated in Roslyn, NY.
