Read moreMY FAVORITE PARK, by FAR, in NASSAU COUNTY, LONG ISLAND! I have Posted Photos and Rated “Gerry Park”, last Fall. It is large, beautiful, and has Multiple Gorgeous Ponds and Open Spaces... as well as, Magnificent Trees, Plants and Walk-Bridges! I knew of this Park as The Roslyn Duck Pond, when I first started going there as a Young Teenager. Also, the Town (or County) is starting a Revitalization and Beautification Project to this Already, FANTASTIC Park... That is rumored (although I have basically Confirmed this over Multiple Talks and the Fact That I have Already Seen New Additions, etc..., but Especially, because I know Town Officials and Workers That have Told Me, this Project is Definitely Happening) to be a $15 Million Dollar, Revitalization Project. So, just Beware of Even More Beauty, to be seen at Gerry Park soon enough! But, if you want to visit Gerry Park today, then I highly Recommend it. Because, even before this Beautification Project, the Park is STUNNINGLY Beautiful...
Read moreOh gosh, where do i begin... just being part of the historical area is special enough (the mackay statue is stunning when lit at night), but to be able to share it with your fur baby is icing on the cake. Years ago, it wasn't the case, but our family definitely appreciated the positive change. This park is small but chock full of pleasing activities to enjoy. The gardens are designed with the environment in mind, which all parks should emulate...the seasonal flowers, trees are absolutely breathtaking. Flanked by 2 ponds- one with a cute, fishing pier (can't remember if u can really fish there tho) which is surrounded by lush vegetation . And the soothing sounds of the trickling stream just makes for such a lovely walk. This park really makes all my senses happy, especially during sunset where the breathtaking sunset lights up the whole park. p/s how thoughtful to have doggy bags all...
