My BFF found this gem and insisted that I carve out some time of my workday for lunch. I'm so glad I followed her advice. Upon entering we immediately started browsing all of the fabulous offerings of Greek foods to purchase. There were pieces of cheese out to taste and George politely shared information about the cheeses and then was so kind to have us try it with a delicious jam. We proceeded to pepper him with questions about the different foods that we saw and you could see his passion shining through as he described various products. When my friend asked about the type of bread on the menu, he quickly produced a slice of perfectly grilled and oiled bread for us to try. We told him what we'd like to buy on our way out but first we wanted to go eat lunch and he made sure that a table set aside for us. The place was packed on Friday at lunchtime so we were very grateful. There were several options on the menu but unfortunately some were not available as they were sold out (probably a good sign of volume of people coming thru is dishes are sold out) so we settled on a Vegan Spanakopita and Beef Sliders. Neither of us are vegan but the waitress reassured us we would love it. And she was right - I had no idea I was eating coconut cheese. The beef sliders were perfectly seasoned and the caramelized onions added a nice touch. The sliced potatoes on the side were a perfect portion and delicious. They were so busy that it took some time to get our check and thankfully we ended up being assisted by someone at the front of the store as we bought some fabulous prepared foods to take home. I know that those early operational issues of business ultimately get worked out. The decor is fitting of the Greek theme; one wall has whitewashed brick with a beautiful painted black tree in contrast. On our way out we met the owner Julia and she was absolutely lovely; her passion shines brightly. We were lucky to be there on a day when they make Galaktoboureko (Greek Custard Pie). It is AMAZING! I went online to look up how to make this delicious dessert and after seeing the process decided there is no need as now I know where I can buy it fresh. I will be returning soon...
Read moreHerb & Olive Mediterranean is one the best Mediterranean, strike that, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Artistically designed with an open counter facing the street for drinks and dining, a high ceiling and plenty of open space, displays of imported delicacies, freshly prepared takeout and pastries as you walk in (we were there last night and the front was open which was great) give way to a sit down eatery reminiscent of a Greek taberna. Our server Katerina was helpful, engaging, and took a genuine interest in my group. The food is perfectly prepared by Chef Phil. His tzatziki has just the right seasonings, the beet, almond, and goat cheese salad is perfect and plentiful, the roasted veggies and lemon potatoes are fresh, crispy, and light. My roasted salmon (with an extraordinary glaze) was the most delicious I’ve ever tasted. My sister loved her pesto. And, the cocktails that we had — white wine sangria and tequila with watermelon, cucumber and lime, we’re totally refreshing. Kudos to owner Julia for this fantastic restaurant. We will be back...
Read moreWe were recently here for lunch, and it was a wonderful experience! The room is casual, bright, and modern with beautiful high ceilings and fixtures. We started with the Fava bean dip as an appetizer. It was a total standout—creamy, nutty, and tangy, and honestly one of the best Greek style dips I’ve ever had.
My wife ordered the Prosciutto Ciabatta and I had the Chicken Halloumi sandwich, both of which were bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The sandwiches were perfectly complemented by a side of delicious Greek salad with a light dressing that tasted like it was made with ingredients straight from the garden.
The waitstaff was very friendly —attentive and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great meal, almost like they felt a sense of pride and stewardship over the place.
We will soon be returning for dinner. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Mediterranean/Greek food and a...
