Review is for bagel-coffee breakfast in this fast-casual eatery, and it was well worth it. Apart from the regulars, few unique flavors are on offer. E.g. Oreo twist, pizza, Doritos, buffalo-jalapeno. The last named was delectable, only accompanying jalapeno cream cheese was a bit salty for our taste (this, from someone who's already heavy handed on salt). The regulation everything bagel was spot on. We'll have to return for the other off-beat ones {an opportunity to revise ratings upwards}. Order taking was efficient, and it was pleasantly impressive that fulfillment was sort-of single window. Crew members seemed to track where dine-in patrons were, to direct call-outs in ~20-seat dine-in area. Coffee, premixed with sugar & milk (chilled milk in hot coffee, sacrilege! Failed on this parameter), was balanced and came fast. As did rest of order. Although this location is only 4 years old, we were impressed with the solid wood, live edge tables, nice snare in location takeover. Ancillary messaging is also endearingly amusing {pic}. Going by the collection of potato chips on shelves {pic}, they might as well qualify for chip capital of Garden City Park. This place oozes a load of self belief & self-proclamation; it shows in their disposable servingware :) {pic} and branding {particularly, domain name}. Thing is, their 'Uniondale Gourmet' was accorded LI Community's Choice Awards for B'fast & sandwich; but this location has also staked the proclamation by associative extrapolation. Price point was a given, because we stepped in after reading owner's devout defense against earlier posts. But then, hot milk for coffee? Couple more visits. Pizza bagel struck right notes. Still getting chilled milk with coffee (along with a false assurance that mixed on concoction is still hot). 4* stays for now, with positive outlook. We'll return, looking to revise ratings upwards.

I took 1 star away for pricing and 1 for food quality. I ordered an everything bagel with tuna, bacon and Swiss. The amount of tuna was plenty but it lacked flavor (reason for 2nd star deduction )and the bagel was not full of seasoning as I would expect from and everything bagel. Secondly in my bag was a small container which appeared to be potato salad and the salad was terrible, all I could take was 1 bite. No one offered me a salad it was just in the bag and I paid a little over $12 which is extremely expensive and more what I would expect to pay in Manhattan. I. My normal place to go is NY Bagel on Jericho TPKE New Hyde Park where I pay $7.99 for the same thing and the bagel and tuna has much more flavor. The lady who helped me was nice and the place was clean and pre-made foods looked good but didn’t deliver in taste. I ordered by phone and it also took close to 2 min before anyone answered the phone and I was parked right in front and could see at least 5 employees walking back and forth but no answer(maybe they were busy I get that but inside there were only 2 customers ). I waited a good 15 min in my car abs then entered and waited another 5 min to get to the counter and gave my name. The lady went over to another worker and then, they began to work to my bagel so I waited 30 min total to get a tuna sandwich which in my opinion is much to long I think 10-15 min would be an average time.I would have given 2.5 but didn’t want to give them a 2 since I was treated kindly inside. I’ll be sticking to my usual at NY Bagel just a 3 min drive west from here.

This place is decent, but once again, the prices are excessively high. Let’s break it down: The average cost of an egg today is $0.50. For three eggs, that’s $1.50. In New York, a pound of Swiss cheese averages $11.99. A single slice of Swiss cheese is roughly 1 ounce, and since there are 16 ounces in a pound, one slice costs about $0.74. A pack of 8 whole wheat wraps typically costs $6.50, making each wrap $0.81. Here’s the total for the ingredients: Eggs: $1.50 Cheese: $0.74 Wrap: $0.81 Total: $3.05 Now, let’s factor in labor. Assuming the cook is earning New York’s minimum wage of $16.50 per hour, and considering my food took 10 minutes to prepare, that’s around $1.65 in labor costs. Adding the ingredients and labor together, we’re at $4.70. For food establishments in New York, a recommended markup of about 30% is standard. Applying that to $4.70 adds $1.41, bringing the total to $6.11. After tax, roughly $0.54, the final price should be $6.65. However, I was charged $11.59—$4.94 more than what this item should reasonably cost. Oh, and didn’t mention the $0.41 service fee? Take a look at the receipt—it’s right there. For an egg wrap smaller than the receipt, it just doesn’t feel justified. And this isn’t including a coffee or a juice. Pantos, I gave you another chance, but I walked away feeling overcharged. In a state where there’s a deli on nearly every corner, it might be worth reconsidering your pricing. Maybe Consider offering a punch card promotion where customers receive a free sandwich after purchasing five in a row.

AMBIANCE - 5/5 BAGEL VIBES

When we arrived this bagel shop looked promising. They had a huge selection of bagel flavors. It had a large menu and in addition to specially sandwiches also looked like the offered breakfast platters, waffles, and baked goods. It had a nice interior which was decorated with some hilarious bagel signs. It was also clean and had enough seating for those there at 1:30pm on a Sunday.

SERVICE - 5/5

The servers behind the counter were quick and friendly. They got my lightly toasted request just right.

FOOD - 3.5/5 (but I'm a bagel stickler)

For the bagels I feel like I need to rate the bagel vs the entire sandwich separately. Coming from the city I'll admit to being particular about my bagels. I'm exploring spots on Long Island as we are moving to the area.

For the bagel itself, it was a little on the flatter side compared to what I'm used to where the bagel has some more height to it. So was my husband's. I ordered my baseline everything bagel lightly toasted. The bagel had a nice little crunch while still being soft on the inside. My husband's looked like it had more everything seasoning than mine. I found the bagel to have a smidge more sweetness than others I've had but not in a bad way at all.

For the innards I was really craving lox with scallion cream cheese and tomato (no onion for me). The cream cheese was smooth and quite good and they didn't skimp on the lox. I rate the bagel 5.5/10 but 6.5 as a full sandwich.

Hubs got bacon egg and cheese and said the insides were delicious. He rated the bagel 6/10 but 7 for the...
