This is a long dued reviewed. Port Washington Diner is hands down one of the best diner in town, and a huge part of that is thanks to Pedro our favorite server!! Pedro always greets us at our table with a welcoming smile and are super attentive. He always makes you feel right at home, ensuring that every visit is nothing short of exceptional.

You can always call in advance and the receptionist will tell you right away if there is any wait time or if it is very busy in the restaurant.

Now, let’s talk about the food—starting with our number one favorite, the Greek Chicken Soup. Its absolute perfection—light yet flavorful, with the perfect balance of citrusy brightness and comforting warmth. Whether it’s a chilly day or you just need a little pick-me-up, this soup hits the spot every time. But make sure you go on the right days, it's only available on certain days of the week but I am positive that it is available on Saturdays!

And we can't forget the bread and sesame breadsticks. Our favorite is the fresh-baked raisin walnut bread that comes complimentaey with dinner. It is fresh out of the oven, soft, a little sweet, and packed with flavor, it’s the kind of bread that makes you want to take a loaf home. Pedro usually gives us some to go when we ask for it.

Port Washington Diner is a true gem, with authentic food and service. Whether you are looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, they have something you will like!

Highly...

There were many diners in this one place and finally they hit the jackpot this Diner is very friendly to bring family friends to sit and have a good meal it is great and I am happy that they are there to serve the people of Port Washington.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 I give this Diner five roses. And thank you for being open the time that you have for late hours so when people get home late and they don’t feel like cooking we can always depend upon Port Washington Diner. I want to thank Bill and Pedro and all the waitresses and waiters they are very nice to the people they serve 😊! 🌹 Rose 🥀

It is time to bring back the soups you had before the pandemic. Do you have most of the ingredients in your Diner people need to know that you are coming back the way you were before the pandemic. It is also time to bring other things back such as skirt steak nacho cheese potato skins do you have all those ingredients in your Diner,Chips, varieties of desserts. Use the same bread for the salmon fish sandwich. You change the pickle which is one of the nice things that you did there among many nice things but bring back, what people used to know Port Diner of the cuisine. I’m sure you had put in for the PPP and the people of Port Washington did try to help as much as they could do and the pandemic in ordering things out to be delivered I think that’s why you still in business because of the people of Port Washington....

DO NOT eat there especially if you are BLACK!!!!!

I have been ordering/visiting Port Diner since they opened, (looking at my receipts spent over $250 last month alone) Last night I ordered delivery, at 8:33pm. At 9:36pm I called Port Diner inquiring about my food and was informed the the driver got lost (first time ever). At 9:51pm the driver called me cursing because he was frustrated he was lost. I immediately called and spoke to the owner Billy who stated "he's lost what do you want me to do." At 10pm the food arrives, I cautiously open my door and tell the driver you can take the cold food back. because at this point I don't trust the food nor can mozzarella sticks or a burger and fries be properly reheated. I called again to speak to the owner who only offered that my refund was issued, but definitively made it clear that Port Diner, does not value customers who live in Harbor Homes. I have NEVER experienced such a lack of customer service and outright disrespect from a business especially not from one Port Washington.....and they have the nerve to bare the name Port Diner, that is not what...

I like the cute diner. Can't miss it on the busy street could be a little tricky to find parking, best of luck! However, i got to say I'm liking the experience. Very clean tables and area when i walked in. Server that was attending me was good. Very focused. Food was good, tasty and fresh and not burnt. Despite the review of the burnt food.. i've seen a picture that really caught my attention, but to me but i feel like they improved since then. What matters is the presentation, taste, and temperature. The 3 checked off on this diner. What i also like is the water, it doesnt taste like tap water. no filter nothing. it taste how it suppose to taste. I had the 2 Egg Combo, w| Ham and Homefries and White Toast, Bagel w| Cream Cheese, and French Toast. Go to this place i highly recommend. I would start coming here than Landmark Diner. Love Landmark, don't get me wrong, but something about this location intrigued me and would come here.

The food was great. I was craving lox but i was also craving eggs and home fries…. so i got both! It really just hit the spot!! The homefries were a little bland- but nothing a little salt and BUTTER can’t fix! I actually preferred this over the overly greasy, salty, and mushy homefries you get at most other places so i can’t complain much. Eggs were perfectly cooked, sausage was scrumptious, the lox and veggies were SO SO FRESH, portions were generous, and the atmosphere was great! (bonus points for free wifi) The waitress was phenomenal. She truly made our experience. Bubbly, kind, warm, inviting.. a one of a kind server! I didn’t catch her name, but a mature lady with long blonde hair, glasses, and the sweetest accent you ever heard! I truly think she is an absolute gem. All servers should be like her- a true example of hospitality and grace!

It's a diner. But if you leave the north east and move down south like I did, you realize how much you miss a well run diner. The classic fair is all pretty good--the chicken parm is well baked, (crispy outside, delicious inside) and topped with a lovely cheese. Could I have used a little more sauce for it and the pasta? Yes, but I prefer that to drowning the meat until it's soggy. In the end it's the little misses that steal the last star away. Was my chocolate shake good? It was better than fair, but why give me a black-and-white shake when you have chocolate ice cream on board? I may not dream of this place, but I'll never say no to coming back either. Tasty and worth the wait.
