I recently visited Sit Still Port Washington and had such a wonderful experience! Before our appointment, I stopped by to check out the storefront, and it was absolutely adorable and very clean. The staff showed me the sweet certificate they provide for baby’s first haircut, along with a keepsake pouch for hair clippings. I loved this thoughtful touch!

A few days later, we came in for my son’s haircut with Kathleen, and she was fantastic. She was incredibly patient and really and truly listened to what we wanted. She took her time, ensuring she didn’t cut too much in areas we wanted to keep longer, while also advising us on the best shape to keep it looking clean and polished. She helped us to keep my son’s curls in the back and used special special scissors to work with the thinness of his hair in the front, the results were perfect!

I also really appreciated their customer service guarantee. Kathleen mentioned they would accommodate any adjustments within seven days at no additional charge, which is a great reassurance, especially given the slightly higher price point.

Tyga was a superstar, too, keeping my older son comfortable and entertained with a glitter tattoo while he waited. He was so excited about it and hasn’t stopped talking about the experience since!

Recently went in to Sit Still with my daughter to get her haircut. They told me they do adults and teens as well and they offer manicures so I decided to get a manicure while I was waiting for my daughter to get a haircut they use a product called Dazzle dry. I was truly amazed! My polish was dry in less than 5 minutes, completely dry. They offer two kinds of manicures but I would highly recommend the Dazzle Dry for kids and adults of all ages. By the time my daughter's haircut was done my nails were dry we were very happy with both services we got. The salon is also adorable and simplistic with clean products and great retail. Update- The owner reached out and was very kind. She scheduled us to have his hair fixed with the manager, Kat. Kat was great and made his hair look much better! The ladies in the shop were super nice. The moral of this story is only book with a stylist you know and trust.

He had our son’s first hair cut here today. Cute place but such a bad haircut. We are so upset the stylist left his hair so uneven. I understand it can be hard to cut kids hair, but he sat calmly, didn’t fuss, and just looked around. We will have to bring him elsewhere to have it fixed after paying $45.
