The service is absolutely horrible. Today, my wife and I went during our lunch hour and there were four people identifiable as employees. We made our order and paid at the bar. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and an outlaw potato then took a table and watched as all the orders ahead of us were called for pick-up - this took about 15 minutes. We then watched as a customer walked in, talked with two of the employees in a friendly manner (including an embrace) and he and his friend were served their food to their table (which I've never seen before, you are called and have to pick up your own food) including two outlaw potatoes. We waited another 5 minutes (now totaling 25 minutes from the time we placed our order) and watched three employees standing in a cluster near where the food is picked up, all talking and laughing. We also noted the fourth employee was seated at the bar talking to a patron. With our lunch hour nearly over and having to leave to get to work on time, I approached the cash register with my receipt and a young man asked if he could help me. I explained I'd been there waiting for about a half hour and needed to leave, so I would like a refund. He told me he couldn't give my money back and I noticed that the gaggle of employees had split up, with the same one who had served his friends splitting open a potato and starting to build a plate. I then explained that I had watched as friends of the employees had come in and been served immediately and I didn't appreciate it. I again asked for my money back and was told that they would not return my money but were getting my food ready. I again explained I had to leave, grabbed my coat and walked out - WITHOUT FOOD OR REFUND. On my way out, the friends who were served immediately apologized to me for the actions of the employees. In the parking lot as I was getting in my car, another patron who said he didn't blame me for my actions as he had seen the same thing. On the drive back to work, I called to speak with somebody who identified herself as "one of the managers" so that I could finally get a refund in the form of a useless gift card (she tried to give me a $25 gift card as a refund for a $17 meal - that makes no sense). Why useless? Because I was told to my face they would not refund my money while I was there, they only tried to make it right after I was gone, and I will never return - so this poorly run business effectively...
Read moreWonderful staff and great food Second small location, a kiosk kind of place with a more limited menu on ridge road was first place I found them. We are addicted to cowboy and monster potatoes ever sin ce. My daughter loves extra sauce. They are understaffed right now and have slimmed down the menu, but the ribs, bar b que and those wonderful potatoes are all u need. They also cater and if you sign up for e mails you will always know what is going on. They do NOT send a bunch of extraneous emails, just ones about closings or specials. I moved out if the area so I try to pick up a cowboy potato and section into 3, well 2 portions as side dish to my meals to make it last longer. Not making Burgers at the moment, but it is still the best bar b que. Two years ago we couldn't get together with family for T-day, I suggested we get the giant potato with the ribs as it was just me and my daughter and she loves their ribs. I called and talked to Moose, the owner it turned out, and we had an regular outlaw potato with smoked turkey, a rack of ribs and the wings which I had wanted to try. He was so helpful, and it was such a small order. As they were closed on Thursday we picked up on Wednesday, everything was packed separately for the potatoe, with heating instructions for all. We set a holiday table and had a wonderful time. You will not find customer service like that very many places. Please go there, the prices are great, and I have never spoken to anyone there who wasn't helpful, patient and nice. And try the catering, your guests will be thrilled. I've taken a number of friends there for lunch and they...
Read moreThis was my letter to Texas explaining the poor experience. Customer beware if you order delivery and there is a problem Texas doesn't care. They will tell you it's not their problem.
To whom it may concern, My name is Maggie. Our family orders from Texas almost weekly. We use you for catering on holidays and have had nothing but good things to say about your business.
That unfortunately has changed. Last night we placed close to $100 order for delivery. We never received it. I understand you don't hire delivery directly and are separate but you must contract with them in some way. When I called to get help because the delivery driver wouldn't answer my calls or texts, the girl who answered told me there was nothing she could do and it's not your guy's "problem". She said sorry and that was that. I didnt know what delivery company to call and had absolutely no recourse. I tried to call the restaurant back over 9 times because we had no food. No one answered as they clearly saw my number and didn't want to deal with me.
I feel that some help could have been provided. Maybe offer another order at a discounted price. Maybe offer to contact to delivery company and complain in support. I offer these suggestions for the future because that is not how loyal customers should be treated. That's not how hungry families that rely on you to feed them, families that pay you for a service, should be treated. It's so unfortunate. I will share this story with my many friends who have kids graduating this summer and anyone else who will listen because I am so disappointed by the way we...
