I’m paralyzed and they treated me different and I couldn’t fit in the bathroom so I tryed to talk to the manager and she basically said that’s not my problem and told me to go next store.
My 11-year-old wrote this review because he was very upset about the situation. When we walked in, we specifically told them we had someone in a wheelchair. The same person your hostess, who is saying she didn’t say it wasn’t her problem did not say that, but she did direct me to the bathroom while I was sitting in a wheelchair. After speaking to you, she came over to the table to tell me that “we have a lot of patients in wheelchairs but that doesn’t mean they can’t walk so we have an arrangement with next-door but we would’ve had to have been asked” . Been paralyzed for a year and this was the most upsetting response I could have heard. I should not have to disclose to you whether or not, I can walk. It is hard enough not being able to not walk and be a paraplegic.. The sad part is is that your restaurant is absolutely delicious and our waitress was wonderful. The atmosphere and the service and the food were fantastic but after crying to your hostess and her telling me she doesn’t know what to say and then further make that comment in front of my entire family about your other patrons being able to walk. I’m sorry but that’s unacceptable. Not only was I crying but my children were crying. That inter resulted in my 11-year-old writing the original review. He is so sensitive to the fact that his mom is now in a wheelchair and how ignorant people can be so he comments on it every time he sees it this being one. . She should be more sensitive in her wording you never assume that someone can walk and you don’t ask them whether or not they can walk you simply say “our bathroom will not fit your wheelchair and we have an arrangement with next-door so if you need my assistance, I’d be more than happy to help you“ that should’ve been the proper response, thank you I have updated this review to reflect the situation properly however the “service” star was not for our waitress but the ignorance of you hostess who I cried my eyes out too. I catherized im a car for go sake because she “assumed “ I walk. You Will never understand what this actually feels like because I pray that you are never in my position, but the ignorance behind disabilities needs to stop, and this in particular is one way in which my family and I will continue to make these situations known to others so that this type of thing doesn’t happen to...
Read moreAll of the individual parts of the restaurant were great, the food was food and the services was fast (the bread was incredibly delicious) but the bill was VERY weird. It's minor in comparison to the overall price, but there was a surcharge to just......exist? I guess? And on top of that a surcharge for using a credit card, in the year 2022. Again, very minor to the overall price, but why were there 2 seperate surcharges, the first of which you also get taxed on for being part of the normal bill. Likely not returning, even if the food was pretty good (although the sauce with the supposed hot peppers wasn't...
Read moreThis was my first time at Joe and Joe's, Pearl River. A spur of the moment decision and an excellent one! We were lucky to get a table with short notice.
Everything on the menu looked so delicious. Bree, our server was very pleasant and helpful with recommending dishes on the healthier side.
This had us start with the Vegetable Antipasto as an appetizer which was simple and light. We strayed a bit by ordering the Red Snapper Marechiara and the Grouper special of the day with sides of Spinach. Both dishes were superb in taste and presentation.
We will definitely be repeat customers. I will make...
