Panda Gardens — Restaurant in Town of Orangetown

Trapped inside during a snowstorm and they were one of the only places that were open for delivery, so I took a chance on them, and I am glad I did! They were really nice on the phone and in person. I cannot attest to how fast they would come if the weather was less treacherous, but I am going to guess it would be fast because even during this snowstorm the delivery was surprisingly fast. Pricing I think was pretty standard for any Chinese restaurant. Now for the most important part -- the food. It was amazing! Everything I had was so good! Some times if you eat too much Chinese you get that greasy weird feeling in your stomach and can make you feel sick, not these guys! I ate a ton and felt amazing afterwards. I wish I discovered them earlier because they are so much better than any other Chinese place in the area, and I have tried a bunch of them. And to top it all off they gave me two egg rolls...

I just had a bizarre experience here, I called in to order take out, she tells me I live too far away. I live 2.1 miles from the store which is about a 10 minute drive according to Google maps. I’ve also had take out delivered to my address before from this location. When I spoke to the kid who called to ask me to cancel my order.. he first said that I live too far, I told him it’s 2.1 miles away not 4. Then he said well we are busy and have many customers right now, i questioned that and asked am I not a customer?? Then he suggested that I pick up the food? I felt super disrespected because if you simply don’t want my business, you should just say that & not give me the work around. I ordered food from them and they were upset when they missed an order that wasn't in the bag so I was being unprofessionally yelled at! So then 4 months later I placed an order and they called me to tell me that my location was too far according to his boss but not true then he hung up on me and then I called back and the lady said the driver doesn't want to deliver to me! I only ordered from Panda because I couldn't find another place at that time and then when they rejected my order I found a much better place called "China House"! EXCELLENT FOOD! Panda might have good reviews but they will turn on you in a second and they don't want to give you extra packets of duck sauce only if you pay for them! China House in Orangeburg is GREAT!
