If you are African American or any person of any dark color don’t expect good service from this place. They will make you wait and act as if they don’t even see you. I had the worst experience and felt unwelcome . I was ignored by an associate who felt her discussion about a book with “another customer “ was more important than serving me . I interrupted her conversation and asked “ are you working “ and received a mean look followed by being ignored again. I followed up with a call to Management and basically received the same treatment and got blown off. I don’t care how good the pastries are here , even if they were being imported from France every day. You can NOT treat anyone as a second or third class citizen regardless of the color of their skin. I really enjoyed this place prior to this experience. However, my pride comes first ! UPDATE: Just had a poor experience at this shop. Went in to order a cake for my birthday and was told I need to order 3 DAYS IN ADVANCE to order a cake that is regularly on the menu. We have never had to order that far in advance there. There was one left in the display, unfortunately it will not be fresh when we eat it (a mousse cake with fruit). We did not want to chance that they not have the cake (the person at the register could not confirm that they'd have it in the morning day of). I remembered the management had recently changed, seems not for the better. They ran out of other staple items early as well. Disappointing to say the least.

Quality has changed drastically over the years. I'm assuming covid had something to do with this. Im not even going to complain about the food and coffee we had tried to order, they couldnt make us coffees because of no supplies im assuming? Im here to complain that the young girl at the front desk was very rude. Treated the job like playtime. Was nasty to us and other customers. Once her coworker came in attitude changed completely. After he showed up she was all smiles, nice and sweet. We sat down to eat and I didnt experience her treating us or the others this way. She acted as if she couldnt wait to get out of there or as if we were returning customers that made her life miserable. I guess she hates her job or...
