Harris Diner — Restaurant in Town of Owego

Went there the other day for the first time in about 6 months. I've been there probably at least 5 other times. Food was good then- no issues.

Went there with my buddy a couple days ago. I offered to pay and he wasn't very excited about it, says he didn't have very good experiences.

So we go and get our food, we got the exact same thing, the omellette and some coffee.

Got our food and I have to say I received the most pitiful amount of home fries I've ever received for breakfast. I could eat it all with a spoonful.

I kind of shrugged it off but I was surprised they were cool with serving such a small amount. The corn beef hash wasn't exactly plentiful either.

The service is good. The people are good. That food wasn't so good and to be that unaware gave me enough energy to go elsewhere like River Rock or...

Unless you are a long standing customer they don’t care about you. My husband and I walked in a few years ago for breakfast and were ignored. Our food took forever to get bc they kept putting their friends/usual customers that were walking in after us first. Eventually we did get our food but not before several others got theirs first. We had our orders in before they walked in and they still got fully served before us. We do like supporting our local restaurants. But this one has no respect for new people and lost our business for good that day. Much friendlier places to go around owego. I don’t care how long your little hole in the wall has been around. The Harris Diner. A place with a wonderful atmosphere. There's something about a diner where they know your name. Today, 3/1, I tried egg, cheese, and sausage on a biscuit. Had a wonderful taste. The biscuit was flaky. A definite repeat meal. The New York Yankees memorabilia is wonderful. For breakfast today. I had the homemade French toast with homemade sausage and home fries. The French toast was light and fluffy with a wonderful taste. The homemade sausage was delicious. The home fries were cooked perfectly. The waitress was friendly and prompt with coffee refills.
