Review of Honey’s Bistro
As an 18-year-old college student just trying to get a decent lunch during my break, I walked into Honey’s Bistro with hopes of something quick and tasty. I ordered a simple item: french fries. The price? Nine dollars. A bit steep, but hey — maybe they’re the best fries in town, right?
Wrong.
I got my order, opened the bag, and was met with a tiny handful of cold, smashed fries. Honestly, it looked like leftovers someone stepped on. I politely approached the man at the counter — a black-haired, bearded man who was overweight — and asked if I could have more fries, explaining that I had paid nine dollars for what amounted to crumbs. I expected basic customer service, or at the very least, some understanding.
Instead, he looked at me like I had insulted his entire family and said “no” with the kind of attitude that made me feel stupid for even asking. He belittled me with his words, made me feel small, and clearly didn’t care that I left unhappy and still hungry.
Bottom line: If you’re a broke college student or just someone who values being treated with a shred of respect, skip Honey’s Bistro. It’s not worth your money — or...
Read moreWhat a great addition to this area. This spot had a rocky start with its prior owner, but Honey’s Bistro came in and did it right. I’ll start with the atmosphere. While it is on the “pink” side that is okay because it is a very light and fresh vibe that makes it feel like spring all year around. The service here is great. I’m pretty sure every time I’ve been there the owner (or head manager) and he has been around and he is extremely hands-on and very helpful. The menu is amazing. Lots of offerings for any type of person. Ingredients are very fresh and menu items are very unique. Once you order, they give you a numbered Post to put on your table so they know where to bring your food. Food comes out pretty quickly and it tastes amazing. And one more thing to add....this place is consistent. Upon returning, I realized that the food and service is equally great each and every time I go to Honey's Bistro. Definitely a place that I recommend putting on your list for a Regular lunch spot whether you are alone or...
Read moreHoney’s Bistro is simply amazing. The food is out of this world—every bite is packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and clear attention to detail. But it’s not just the food that makes this place special. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and cozy, and the people who run it are some of the nicest you’ll ever meet.
Honey’s Bistro is the kind of spot you dream about finding—and once you do, it becomes an instant favorite. The food is absolutely phenomenal—fresh, thoughtful, and full of flavor that feels both elevated and down-to-earth. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to text your friends and say, “You have to try this.”
But what really sets Honey’s apart is the people. There’s a genuine warmth to everyone who works there—it’s the kind of hospitality that reminds me of the best parts of being at Pepperdine: community, care, and connection. Whether you’re grabbing one of their ridiculously good tincture coffees or sitting down for a full meal, you’re in for something special. Honey’s isn’t just good—it’s...
