I went here with my friend at 12:30pm October 11, 2024. The girl here was very nice and kind. It was a good experience, the inside of the coffee shop was decently clean. Everything was going well, me and my friend sat down and began to get some work done. Within a few minutes, we noticed the music was too loud. I went up to the girl and she was very kind to allow me to put on some classic Chopin and Tchaikovsky. Mind you, we were the only 2 people in the shop the ENTIRE TIME.

In a few minutes, a long haired skinny tall man came from the back and started whispering to the girl stuff about the music. It clearly sounded not good and I did not want her to get in trouble, so I told him that I asked the switch the music and he told me to disconnect (spotify has a music share feature and the girl was kind enough to allow me to play my classical playlist using that feature from my spotify).

I followed his request and disconnected and then he proceeded to put back on very loud folk music. I asked them both if they can change the music to classical music which they did for about 5 minutes. He then came up to me and my friend with an iPad, asked if the music volume was good, I said yes, and then he said okay, walked away, and the put back on folk music. I have absolutely no idea what was wrong with this guy. I even specified that we are unable to concentrate with the loud music in the background.

Update: I just asked the girl what the name of the tall guy was and his name was Azah (pronounced: Isaiah). Apparently he was the owner. Very poor customer service and awkward behavior from him. Will not be coming here again. He made my friend feel very uncomfortable since he kept whispering so ferociously at his poor employee about the music. Keep in mind, the shop is very small and the vibes were off. I also want everyone to know that we were the only customers in the shop the entire time. Not once did someone even walk in to get something and then leave.

Again, I want to reiterate that the girl was very kind. She did nothing wrong. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say the owner was maybe...

One Spring was on our ā€œDad/Daughterā€ Summer bucket list of coffee shops to visit. I have been here a few times by myself, was glad to finally get my daughter here. Review: quaint part of town, many other inviting shops within walking distance. Limited street and rear lot parking. Love the brick storefront and old time bench out front. The first step through the front door feels like you’ve entered a classy, boutique-ish, high end social gathering spot. Love the comfortable and welcoming feel. Wonderful background music plays as you take in all the visuals of the interior. First and foremost the shop is impeccably clean, neat and orderly. The owner went to great lengths with the quality of craftsmanship used with the rough sawn barn board trim. A look over the service bar and you will find 2 of my favorite tools……. a Mahlkonig and a Slayer. The owner pulled a double shot of Espresso for me that did not disappoint. My daughter was looking forward to One Spring ice cream but due to a stomach ache we had to take a pass ( we will be back to taste test). The owner is very knowledgeable, patient, polite and takes great pride in his shop. One Spring has normal coffee shop small eats and a selection of teas. The walls are full of interesting Knick-knacks, memorabilia and board games. We very much liked One Spring- we recommend it and we will be back to sample some treats...

So the past month my mother and I have been trying to check out this place since we are coffee enthusiasts. The past three Sundays we have gone and they have not been open as per hours mentioned. Anyways, today we finally went and it was open!!! I ordered a lavender, coconut milk latte and my mom ordered a small americano. Both of our drinks cost $10 and tasted like coffee flavored tea!

There was another customer inside and he asked the ā€œbaristaā€, ā€œwhere did you get trained for this?ā€ And she replied, ā€œthe boss sent us to the city for one day, he doesn’t really careā€.

The ambiance and atmosphere is really nice, don’t get me wrong BUT to get gross tasteless coffee for $10 was extremely disappointing. We did order a small chocolate from a Brooklyn vendor which cost $5 and that was good. In addition, there’s no pride in their work. I won’t be going back and won’t be recommending this place to anyone. Go across the street to the other bakery.

Update: I never said you did NOT open but I went at 8:30AM on a Sunday (as per the business hours posted) and you were not open at this time. The last time I tried to go we...

I’ve been on the hunt to find a new local favorite and I think this spot might be it - today was my first time at One Spring which might be too early to leave a review but I couldn’t help myself. The barista was so sweet and kind! He took the time to make my ā€œiced vanilla oat latteā€ while making conversation about some of the new menu updates that are soon to come. I was sooo pleasantly surprised when I took my first sip, as the coffee was so ?? creamy and yum. I’m looking forward to being back soon! The overall atmosphere of the shop is certainly very quiet as other reviews have mentioned but I feel like that’s very helpful when one is trying to sit down and just focus on getting some work done. Interior is so cute, so clean and overall just a very calming vibe. It definitely gave me more Brooklyn/NYC vibes which I love for a local small shop in LI. First impression says this will definitely be a top 5 in terms of local coffee spots. I wish them the best of luck as the owner certainly seemed very passionate and excited about the future of their shop. I look forward to giving it a second go :)

My daughter and I were looking for a true coffee shop barista experience in Syosset. Dunkin' donuts is fine but when you're looking for a real gourmet cup it's hard to come by in the area. However with the opening of One spring, we thought we'd give it a try. Very cute interior with a quiet Brooklyn vibe. They could use a little music in the background but it's a sweet little spot. The manager or owner Ahjay was training someone new and they were very personable. They didn't have a lot of milks to offer with the coffee however my iced latte was very nice and my daughter had an iced chai. I hope they do well because we certainly need a coffee shop like this in town.

I'm always on the hunt for new coffee shops to work at remotely while I sip on a latte or tea! I found this coffee shop in Syosset from Google! I was pleasantly surprised with how cute the atmosphere was inside, how kind the staff was, and how delicious my latte was. I even came back the very next day! It's nice and quiet and relaxing to get work done. They also have plugs and wifi which is great for remote work! There's bar seating and a few tables. What I also love is they have games to play! I came with a friend and played chess :) Definitely recommend checking this place out!!
