Pete's Deli — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

My father came in this evening around 5:00pm. He purchased a sandwich & a slice of apple pie. Although he loved his sandwich, when he went to have a cup of coffee & his apple pie he was so excited about, he opened the container to find the top of the pie crust to have green mold spread across it. This is absolutely unacceptable for an establishment as well known in the area as yours. Attached below is the picture taken of this pie not 5 minutes after the container was opened. We are a family who have been coming to your deli for decades, being my parents were raised here in Farmingdale just as I was, & we are completely disappointed with what we received tonight. I have been going there for years! I have gone there in early morning and evening. The staff has always been helpful and very accommodating when it came to near closing. Also they have the best variety of hot and cold foods, tempting cookies, muffins, and candy!❤👍💙😍 Their mornings are very busy and and so are the lunch hours! I ordered a chicken Cesar wrap on spinach wrap. AND IT WAS BROUGHT BACK FOR A REFUND What they call a spinach wrap was not, chicken was over cooked and dried out not fresh at all, lettuce was almost see threw like it was frozen, was not rolled like a wrap more like bunched up in a ball.
