First time at a hotpot, and I was impressed! Let's start with the atmosphere. The restaurant is nicely decorated, has a cozy feel, and was pretty clean for the most part. This could be a date spot for sure, but by no means do you have to dress up. The service was very good. We were seated right away, and a waitress got us started with our orders. We had a couple of questions that were answered right away. There was an older couple who had a ton of questions, and the waitress literally walked them through everything. Even took them to the back to show them the sauces and extras. They were all polite, and I really can't rave enough about them. Now for the main event, THE FOOD! Ordering was simple, check the boxes you want, and that's it. Any mistakes can be fixed since the waitress goes over it with you. We opted for a large, 2 soup bowl. It was tremendous in size. We actually didn't finish it. We picked the mushroom broth and the pork leg broth. The mushroom one was light but strong and had mushrooms already cooking in it. The pork was a rich creamy white with some type of sweet fruit and corn in it. For mix in stuff, we went with a combo 1 just because it was easy. All 4 meats had strong flavor profiles, but the beef and pork belly tasted similar when cooked. The veggies and fungus cooked up very well, and the lettuce held so much broth flavor. The noodles were a pain in the butt to cook, and that's the only thing I don't think I'll order again. We did order the spicy beef tripe for an appetizer, and it was fantastic. The texture was good, not too chewy. And the flavor was so strong. Highly recommended as long as you don't mind what it is. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I'll come back. Next time, I'll try a smaller...

What a beautiful restaurant!

Looking for a restaurant for a decent meal together? I recommend Potasia. Great ambiance, friendly staff, last and foremost, amazing food.

The restaurant has its own theme for the interior decor as well as the plating and utensils. I love restaurants that do this. It's just so much in sync and pleasing to the eye.

8 adults and 1 infant in our party, to celebrate a birthday.

Advisory: BE CAREFUL on selecting spiciness of the soup. It's quite spicy! Like Sichuan spicy. Mild is decent. Medium can be pretty spicy.

Recommendation: Exploding beef balls Shrimp paste A choy White flour noodles

I also want to say that all ingredients were placed on top of cabbage lettuce, we cleared the plates like we've been starving for days. We asked for the menu around 3 or so times. One waiter thought we were done and turned off one of our hotpot and one of the family member was confused why his pot wasn't boiling. Lol.

I know I'll sound weird, but shout out to the restaurant owner who decided to have 100% handsoap in the soap container. Hands smell fresh and.. I mean, I just appreciate every little detail in this business.

We ate and drank until satisfied and bill came out to ~$500 ($63/person). It's a little more expensive than most, but it's appropriate for the ambiance and...

Been wanting to get to this place for months. With covid going on it delayed it a bit longer. All the employees adhered to the covid precautions and seating was kept to every other table, much more than 6 feet needed to comply with regulations.

You pick your broth, I chose the extra spicy which was very tasty but probably too spicy in retrospect. Ironically, while it was spicy to the tongue/mouth, it was more your inadvertent inhalation of some of the spice that makes you cough terribly. Coughing + covid makes for some suspicious looks.

Next you pick your dipping sauce, then your meats/sides. They have predetermined combos you can choose which are better values if you like what is included. Or you can choose a la carte. The meats are sliced super thin but this makes for very quick cooking. Everything seemed high quality, clean and was very tasty.

Do make reservations especially if covid is still around and make sure you have atleast 2 hours of time as this is not a quick meal, but more an experience.

We definitely enjoyed the food and experience and will return in the...

Finally Long Island gets a hot pot place. We were the only non Asian people inside but we eat hot pot all the time in flushing. Staff was extremely friendly towards us. Place was beautifully decorated. Food quality was very good Beer was perfect with the hot pot Pro Tip- get the lotus root. Cooks for a long time but man thats awesome. Also-learn how to make a hot pot sauce so you don’t look like an amateur *1 year update. Returned to Pot Asia. Amazing hot pot place with amazing meat quality food. Look at the photos of the inside of the restaurant. Looks so cool. I was very intrigued by the business card. Very nice design. We ordered the half tomato half bone stock broth. Due to COVID they pre-made the sauces for you which very delicious and some spicy some nutty some sweet. They also bring out a little thing of appetizer consisting of peanuts, woodear mushrooms, seaweed salad, and homemade potato salad. We ordered a beer/lamb/chicken combo along side some hand pulled noodles because you have to have that to finish the meal. Everything was exquisite very fun experience as always.

Been a bit since we went out to eat and be people because of the cold. We decided to come here to Potasia and get some nice and cozy hot pot! This was my first ever hot pot and I really enjoyed it. We each chose our own soup, I went with the pork leg soup, my friend got the mushroom one. We ordered all our meats and veggies and let me tell you, we ordered a lottt. Juicy balls, lamb, tongue, squid, crab, sausages, corn, baby bok choy, kelp, mushrooms, cabbage, noodles, rice. Man our table was full as you can see. I had the green grape sake and the waiters were attentive for the most part to fill out water and soup. They also have a sauce and apps table in the back. Highly recommend the fungi in vinegar and making your own sauce. At the end we ordered some boba for the road even though we were wayyy to full to drink it. We enjoyed our stay! And hope to be back with more friends.
