Rosemarie's Pizzeria & Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Our retirement party for one of our employees at our Massapequa Highway Department was for 60 people. For other employees that had retirement parties, I was not in charge of the food. This time I was, and I knew that I wanted restaurant food. I've been to Rosemarie's many times and went there to discuss catering. Gianna and I sat down at a quiet table in the middle room and looked over what I had picked out. She had her paperwork with her and amazing knowledge of the catering business. After two sentences, I knew that I should sit back and just listen. She really did know what I needed after just a few questions that I answered. If this was just about price, then I would say they gave me the greatest deal imaginable. It was about the food, the amount of food, the on time delivery. Everything that I asked, she said, "we supply that". My plan was to go shopping for other things like water, soda, a six-foot hero to add to the hot food, and much more. Gianna said, we have all that. On the day of the party, one week later, tons of food came in all by the recommendations of Gianna and also by the generosity of her boss. Yes, I got a fantastic deal. My only job was to buy ice. The party was a blast, the food was more than ample, Gianna's suggestions were right on target, so, I really did nothing, it was all Rosemarie's! Thank you, Thank you! There is no other place that I will go to for catering and no other place I would recommend except for Rosemarie's...

The fried calamari was enough to feed 3 and it was well made. Since it is Tuesday seafood night I ordered clam and mussels with a light red sauce, Ceasars salad and rainbow cheese cake. My hubby ordered fradiavolo, house salad and Italian cheese cake. For me the sauce on my dish was salty so really did not enjoy my dish. My husband's dish was really good. The fried calamari delicious with the fresh made sauce. The rainbow cheese cake was to die for it was rich and it tasted like a rainbow cookie. The Italian cheese cake was good had a slight lemon flavor. The server was very attentive to our needs. At one point the restaurant got hot and some people were shifting to the pizza area. But all in all a great calm place to sit and enjoy a meal.

This time we went on a Monday pasta night for 14$ includes salad and dessert.

We were dissaointed. I was eating my otolana dish which is pasta with sun dried tomatoes chicken with garlic and oil. I was really enjoying my dish until I ate a piece of chicken. The chicken tasted spoiled. I asked my husband to taste it and he agreed with me.

My husband's dish the noodles were over cooked and the chicken also tasted weird. We were both surprised of this since we came in the past and the food was amazing.

It is unacceptable that a chef serve possibly spoiled food to its customer. Chefs responsibility is to cook fresh food and to make sure the plate is well prepped.

Horrible experience. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty except for one party that was getting ready to leave. We ordered and got our drinks. Time ticked by. Forty-five minutes later, we were told our food would be out any minute. Fifteen more minutes passed, and we asked if we could at least have the pasta and meatball we ordered for the two two-year-olds, since they were hungry. We were told, "Sorry, there's another party in the other room. It will be out soon." We were flabbergasted.

A few more minutes went by, and the plates started to trickle out one by one, several minutes apart. The kids’ food came out last and it was wrong. When I asked for the correct meal, I got an eye roll and attitude. My brother was handed his Chicken Francese, and the waitress spilled the sauce all over the table. She didn’t even bring a napkin or say a word.

To top it all off, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Brown stains on the walls (who knows what that could be), toilet paper on the floor, a weird musty smell, and dark liquid in the corners of the floor. Also... no air conditioning.

Five waitresses working and it was a chore to get our proper meals, drink refills and bread for the table in over an hour of waiting. Met with nothing but eye rolls and blank stares.
