Hair in desert Check given early Unreasonable wait time Missing items ordered
I gave an $8 tip & a waiter had the nerve to come to the table, I ended up changing it to $15 (10%) but I was so disappointed in myself for not addressing the terrible customer service provided to my sister & our daughters when she asked if "there were any issues?"
Although this was the last discomfort, firstly I'd like to point out something that everyone is probably already aware of : Which is how, the most insulting thing you can do at a restaurant is give a customer their bill without them asking for it. Especially considering how long we waited to eat. How dare you rush us?
Another thing that's on the top 5 worst things to experience while going out to eat, is finding hair in your food. It's so nauseating to discover that. Easily results in you lose your appetite instantly. My daughter found a long strand of hair in her ice cream (1 scoop - how could you not notice that before serving it to us?)
The limit is 2 hours yet it took them 30 to 40 minutes to even bring us the food. It's already aggravating enough to notice a table that arrived After you get their food Before you. Hate when that happens (mind you, their order was far from small) But sure, whatever, go ahead & take your sweet time. I chose not to bother anyone about it & decided to give them the benefit of doubt because you can't rush quality, right?
For what was that, come to find out the sushi was far from something special. To top it off, it was not at all busy. So judging from the long wait how can that ever make any sense?
With that being said, you would think they wouldn't forget anything we ordered. Nope! We were missing 10 pieces from our selection & wait there's more! Not even 1 out of the 6 yellowtail sushi we asked for.
All of these issues we did not mention to them yet they had the audacity to question the tip and advised me that they won't let me leave the restaurant. What kind of a foolishness was that?
I should've and had EVERY RIGHT to cause a scene but I left it alone for the sake of keeping the peace & gave them 10% instead of the suggested 18% gratitude. I truly regret not speaking up, let alone choosing this place to begin with but let this be a lesson for the future. To have more than one complaint to mention is completely unacceptable. Good luck to them for getting away with all of this. But do yourself a huge favor & learn from my very unfortunate experience, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...
Read moreDisappointed doesn't begin to explain. I remember this being the best ACYE sushi, Masa. I decided to return because of my great memories of the place, and I wish I never did. I never experienced such flavorless sushi. The salmon literally tasted like nothing, mind you salmon is now majority of their roll options. They used to have a variety of rolls for ACYE, and now the options are so limited. Because the salmon was so flavorless, we decided to have the Long Island Roll, which was a shrimp tempura roll, and I had a crispy rice roll. The tempura part tasted like it was fried much earlier in the day as it literally tasted like old batter and was cold. My boyfriend and I ordered numerous appetizers, for none of them to even come to the table. The first time I put in our order, I included edamame which never made it out to the table. So we decided to try again and just order a few more appetizers. Again, the sushi came out with nothing else. So we asked our waiter why it was that no appetizers were coming out, and there was neglect when checking that part of the paper. We just gave up with appetizers at that point because of how disappointing the experience was. They ended up bringing the edamame which I wish they never did because it was still cold, not even microwaved. I just honestly am beyond disappointed in the sushi aspect of the menu because Masa was so well known. Future tip, seems like no one even orders the sushi anymore and I understand why. Just remove it from the menu. I would never step foot back into this place and don't recommend other people doing so if you only come...
Read moreI'm very sorry but I usually love this place. Ordered chicken and sweet potato sushi and got crab meat sushi and beef? I ordered online and they didn't receive the order so I had to show them my phone and sit down and I waited 30 minutes for the wrong order, which of course I didn't realize until I got home. I had to come all the way back and wait more, for them to give me the correct order. About an hour in total before I left.
The soup spilled all over everything...There was still shrimp in the box even though I wrote on the order and verbally said multiple times no seafood no fish no shrimp nothing from the sea. They were really nice to me. When I kept trying to explain this isn't what I ordered and he insisted it wasn't meat but then he pointed on the menu to crabmeat, and I said no I can't eat it. I physically can not eat it or I will get sick. I showed him the receipt that he had in his hand, that said exactly what I ordered and then he seemed to understand.
Usually this place is great but today the AC/heat vents were screaming in the dining room. the rice I got was still hard and undercooked. I don't want to go back a third time to fix the order. I wasted $30 plus tip, a whole hour and I'm a little upset.
I understand it's super hard to speak English, and I understand mistakes happen, but how do you under cook rice? Lol Usually they're really good idk what happened today. The sweet potato sushi was good when I finally got it but I don't want...
