This was the first time that I went to Stuff A Bagel. It was a Saturday 2:15 in the afternoon. l looked at your menu and then chose a chicken salad already prepared along with an oreo chocolate pudding. There were 2 cash registers, two lines.. The line to the right had about 8 people on line WAITING to order. The cash register to the left had no one. I walked over to the register to the left. The man at the register had his back to me as he counted out money. When he finished he turned around facing me. I put my items on the counter and handed him my credit card. He said "I'm sorry. You have to wait on that line." He pointed to the very long line of 8 people. I go over to that line which is hardly moving. Not only are the people not sure what they want but they are standing there asking many questions. Therefore the line doesn't move. I was on line about 15 to 20 minutes. Finally I get up to the register. The door behind the cashier opens and a man hands the cashier orders that were previously placed. Instead of ringing me up, the cashier starts yelling out "Who has the tuna on a roll with a side of potato salad?" The man comes forward. He says "Where's the vitamin water?" The cashier now has to go look for it. She comes back and bags his food. Then she yells "Who had the chicken cutlet hero and the chicken Ceasars salad?" A man and woman comes up to the counter. The door opens behind her and a man hands her more orders. Once again she starts asking "who had......" I already was in the restaurant at least 30 minutes and I still was unable to pay for a salad and a pudding that had been previously prepared. I gave up trying to pay for the food. I put my food on the counter and walked out. The guy that had the vitamin water was just leaving. He saw me put the food down and leave. He said "This place is poorly managed. You shouldn't have had to wait on line. You already had the food in your hands. They should of had a second register opened." He said he owns a restaurant in rockville center. So he knows what he's talking about. Never the less...I won't be back and...
Read moreI worked at this bagel place 21 years ago as my first job when I was 13. The food and service were much better then, in fact the food and service were so much better then that it is almost impossible to compare the two fairly because the quality has dropped so far down its in an entirely different atmosphere. The service here is atrocious, the staff is often beyond rude and that is when they're mentally present at all, as when they're not being rude they're so spaced out you can actually stand at the register for minutes without being acknowledged or helped. Incompetency is another aspect in which this establishment excels. Another reason I come here less, and less, and will now stop coming, is that the order is always wrong as well. Something as simple as a ham, egg and cheese should not be made incorrectly, and yet every time I order, no matter what I order, something is not correct. And, lastly what makes the previous point so egregious is the prices they charge. One of the most expensive bagel places on the entire island without any good reason to even still be open. Whoever the new ownership is should be embarrassed about the shop they are...
Read moreThis place is horrible. They are the slowest most horrible service. They make you order an pay upfront to lock you into staying, and once they get your order, prepare to wait a minimum of 45 mins for 2 simple turkey sandwiches. This isn't a one time thing it happens ever single time. They have a staff of about 25 people but the people who make the sandwiches are the worse. They were playing with knives as if they were sword fighting and joking around instead of working. They give me an order number of 8 when i walked into an empty store. I waited an watched them make 10 more orders before even starting mine. I was the only one in the store but slowing people started coming in an most got their bigger orders before mine. Normally I would have left because it was 45 mins but they had my money an was forced to wait. Even the lady at the register felt bad. (she did her job). I asked for the manger but of course they were conveniently gone. This happens every time. I live around the block so I keep giving them a chance, but today I was fed up. Finally got the food an of course it was on stale bread I WOULD HAVE GIVEN A ZERO STAR REVIEW BUT IT...
