2nd time went back again and it was even better! Lunch outside in one of the most beautiful days. Never disappointed with this place. Pictures to follow! Basilico is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re enveloped by the warm, inviting ambiance—soft lighting, rustic decor, and the delightful aroma of fresh herbs and simmering sauces. The menu is a culinary journey through Italy, featuring classic dishes that are expertly crafted. I started with the bruschetta, which was a perfect balance of crispy bread, ripe tomatoes, and fragrant basil. For the main course, I opted for the homemade pappardelle with a rich ragù; it was simply divine. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was bursting with flavor. To top it all off, the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had—light, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Service was impeccable; our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The wine selection complemented the meal beautifully. If you're looking for a delightful Italian dining experience, Basilico should be at the top of your list. I can’t wait to return!

We decided to try out the restaurant which recently opened on Sept 19. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a great ambience. The tables with white tablecloths are well spaced out. The service was excellent. Ylli, our server, recommended the "Zuppa di Pesce." The seafood broth was tasty and delicious. The fish, prawns, squid, and mussels were fresh. The toasted bread goes well in mopping up the spicy tomato seafood broth. The squid ink linguine with clams was also very good. Ylli was very attentive and came over a few times to make sure everything was fine. We spoke briefly with Nick, the co-owner. He was very friendly and said that he and his partner decided to open the restaurant after having been in the restaurant business for many years. Basilico is a great addition to the dining scene in Pelham. Will definitely be back again.

Update: We ordered takeout short rib with handmade pasta with mushroom sauce from Basilico recently and it was SO GOOD! 😋 We will definitely be getting it again to satisfy the craving. And the pistachio cake was once again delicious and light! Come for the Chicken Piccata and Basilico Smash! And the wonderful atmosphere, friendly and attentive servers and owner, delicious food all around and scrumptious desserts. We particularly like the pistachio cake and the crème brûlée. We used to go out to Scalini Osteria for similar atmosphere and fare, but Basilico has replaced it for us as a great local option. Looking forward to seeing more from them and we will keep coming back as we have been.

Had a lovely first date with Ann at Basilico on a calm Sunday night. The setting was comfortable and welcoming, with just the right amount of warmth and quiet to make the evening feel easy and natural.

Jay, our server, was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional without ever being overbearing. He struck that perfect balance that’s hard to come by.

The food was great, especially the salmon—it was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The lemony sauce that came with it really stood out. Ann, in a thoughtful little moment, asked Jay if he could send some of it home with me. It was a small thing, but it meant a lot.

Basilico is a gem—good food, great service, and the kind of atmosphere that lets a night unfold naturally....
