In speaking with the owner, he refunded the overcharges and apologized. He is short staffed and training new employees. For the past 12 years Iāve spend at least $100 every time I order take out from this location of Giacomo's Pizza, across from Marist College, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. On May 20, 2021, Thursday night at 8:20 p.m. I called in an order. Took the girl 4 times to put my credit card number in!! Usually they wait till I get there to run my card. I was told it would be ready in 25 mins. Got there in 25 mins and called as planned. Guy tells me they are closed. I told him I ordered and paid my money so I want my order. He fought with me and I asked for the girl Debbie?, the girl I ordered with on the phone and she said it wasnāt ready yet and sheād being it out to my car. I waited another 20 mins, not great but I understood. No big deal. Girl came out with three boxes and placed them in my car; curbside, contactless, and I gave her a $3.00 tip! When I got home I opened the boxes and only one pizza was correct. I did not get what I paid for with the other pie. I ordered two large pies, Create-Your-Own, with three (3) toppings. I paid close to $25 each for pie. The second pie was a small pie with hardly any topping on it and for sure no sundried tomatoes or mushrooms, just a few artichokes. No sauce and it was terrible. I'm extremely upset as due to covid and being handicapped I donāt go out often so this time I ordered two of the same pies and got only one correct sand paid for the two special pies!!! I was ripped off. Also, I ordered six veggie pinwheels and they did not give me the dipping sauce that usually comes with them. I did ask to for them to add mushrooms to the 6 pinwheels but they wanted to charge me $6.00 so I cancelled the mushrooms. I want my money back or I want the pizza pie I ordered and paid for. Did this place change owners? The previous owner (Kevin?) would never let this happen. If I donāt get any recourse I will destroy this place on social media and the doors will be closing just like all the other eateries that probably didnāt rip their customers off to have their businesses close up. Picked up my order has mayo honest mistake right.S o i call and am told that their might have been some on bacon and the cook the made the order said theu didnt put mayo. I tell her i dont like mayo i lnow their is mayo on this sandwhich. im told bring samdwhich back so they can check to see if their is mayo on the sandwhich. When i bring the sandwhich in she takes it to the back and comes back and tells me we making a new sandwhich. No apologies or acknowledgement. The delivery driver who had just came to my place 4 days prior, goes to the wrong place, then happens to leave his phone on by mistake for me to hear everything. He calls Giacomo to check the address, they tell him the correct address and he decided to just leave. I call back and the young girl has the nastiest attitude her name is Lindsay. She's a liar, contradicted everything she said. Wouldn't remake my food, wouldn't refund, just sent the food back ice cold over an hour later. She lied about her name, was so snarky and nasty on the phone, where's your customer service? I will be contacting the manager and will be going in person to rectify this situation. None of the workers care about customer service and are just straight up rude. Good thing I caught it all on voicemail because the guy didn't hang up. A mistake that works in my benefit.
