I will be reviewing Friendly's in Queensbury, New York, a nice restaurant with delicious food. The food they serve is: salads, burgers, soups, chicken, sandwiches, seafood, and quesadillas. They also have a big selection of appetizers. They have a kids menu with mac and cheese, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, quesadila, and grilled cheese. They're most well-known food is their ice cream. Friendly's is not a fast food restaurant. The environment is nice and chill, with many pictures and difterent types of music. The pictures are of old Friendiy's restaurants and kids eating ice cream. The pictures are black and white, but some of the ice cream in the pictures are in color. I find this a little strange. Some of the songs that are played can be downbeat or sad, but others are upbeat. The rest of the environment is bright and cheerful, just like the name Friendly's. It is on a hill near Aviation Mall, and next to Aviation road. This is a nice view from inside the restaurant The service was pretty good. The food doesn't come quickly, but it doesn't take long to come either. lt's enough time for it to cook, and still not leave people waiting in the restaurant for two hours. However, a waitress once spilled some food, but was still really kind. Also, one time when I ordered applesauce, I got fries instead. I told them their mistake and they brought out the applesauce a few minutes later. Other than that the serice is realy good. I rate the food 9 out of 10. I took a point off because nothing is perfect. Everything has tiny flaws. The food isn't undercooked, but it isn't burnt either. The fries are realy good, and it's hard to find good fries these days. The ice cream is delicious, but really cold. It's supposed to be cold, so that's not a bad thing. I'm not too happy about the food dyes in the toppings, but that's with almost any ice cream place. Friendly's partners with other brands such as Oreo and Kraft. This gives the food a familiar and delicious taste. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family. It is kid friendly, but also has food for people of all ages. The servers are often very nice. It's also a nice place to hang out with friends and have lunch or dinner. It's also a good place to have a meal by yourself. If you go, you'll most likely...
Read moreAwful experience. My husband ordered the All American Burger on a brioche bun. The burger came out lukewarm (probably was not at 135 degrees) and the bottom portion of the bun was too hard to eat. After our server (Nancy) made several trips to our table prior to serving our food, she was no where to be found after serving the food. We had to ask another server to find her so that we could let her know about the hard bun. She took the food back and after a while came back with the same burger on a different bun. By that time the burger was cold and my husband was unable to eat it. Because he had no edible food, I could not enjoy my meal. At least he enjoyed his Vanilla milkshake (of which he had 2). Since we were pretty much done with our meal we had wanted our check. Once again, Nancy was no where to be found. I went to the register area and asked for the person in charge. I started to tell her what we experienced and she cut me off and said she knew about the hard bun. She stated that she would take 15% off (it wasn’t clear if she meant the bill or just the burger). I asked for the corporate location or a phone number but she stated there wasn’t a phone number or corporate location. I went back to the table and finally Nancy came with the check, told us that the cost for the burger was removed but that she forgot to add the second milkshake that my husband ordered (to have with his meal). At that point, I felt that action added insult to injury. When Nancy saw that I didn’t include a tip she stated “Oh that’s nice, you’re not leaving a tip” she was obviously watching whether or not I wrote in a tip. We will not be going back...
Read moreI went here with my kids tonight and it wasn't what I would call "Friendly" I came in and waited patiently, one girl said they'd be right with me and she was nice about it. Alright, no problem. 2 seconds into being in this restaurant this bigger greasy girl with a blue long sleeve under her uniform (i describe her this way for a reason. More on that later) had said to the girl who greeted me "you just need to tell them to wait, too bad. We're busy" referring to another table. The girl who greeted me says "what? They're being nice and patient, why would I say that?" Then, about 5 minutes after my entry the greasy girl greets and seats a party of 6+ people, even after the nice girl told her I had been waiting and was in the restaurant first. They promote anyone these days so her being a manager is irrelevant, she was just a nasty person ALL around. After leaving amd thinking about it some more I called to get her name, Blake (I think) answered the phone and knew exactly who I was talking about. Went and got that girl and talked to her, then they refused to give me her name because they knew she was in the wrong and should not be in the position she's in. Why else would you refuse? Blake told me to call back tomorrow and talk to the manager and that she couldn't find her. Meanwhile, I hear the same nasty one in the background telling her "tell them to call back...
