Wading River Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

This use to be Wading River Pizza. I was a long time customer and WR Pizza was great. Tonight we ordered a pie for delivery before 6PM and told it would be 30 to 45 for delivery. After the 90 minutes we called to see if there was an issue and told it was on its way. After waiting 2 hours we called to cancel the order. They would not reverse the transaction on our credit card. When my spouse told be the amount of $40 for the order I almost fell over.

I have not tried their pizza but based on my experience and having been a long time customer of the previous establishment I will go elsewhere. I doubt they will be in for the long haul if this is how they start out.

UPDATE: After cancelling my order DoorASS must have finally found my house. I guess they weren’t looking a tip and left my order on the front steps without knocking or ringing the bell. God only knows what time that was. So on top of the delay I got to clean up the cardboard and scraps that the raccoon left this morning on my way to work.

Stopped in to grab a sandwich quick with my girlfriend while running errands. It was not busy, however, I stood at the register waiting to place my order only to have the employees take the orders of multiple customers who had arrived after me. Once I was finally able to place my order the employee told me it would be right out. We were somewhat strapped for time, however, we did not think it would be an issue. 20 minutes later and I still don't have my food. I considered requesting a refund due to the fact that we could not afford to wait any longer. My girlfriend ended up leaving me behind to go finish running errands only to return to me still not having received my food. I am writing this review as I sit here still waiting for my food. It has been about 35-40 minutes and I have watched multiple other customers come in, order food, receive their food, eat their food, and leave. I am currently unable to speak for the quality of the food considering I have still yet to receive my order. Is the second time I see the same man making pizzas Not wearing a mask is THE LAW that everyone have to wear a MASK!! I work with food business and we all wear a mask no excuses! I look around and everyone else was wearing a mask but HIM ! Not to mention that’s while I was waiting for my pizza he was COUGHING!!! Very disappointed I always go here for pizzas or food but this makes me not going back again! I also see the owner making pizzas sometimes and he is always wearing a mask! I don’t understand why he allowed this man not to wear a mask if he have a health problem or hard time breathing them I think he shouldn’t be working if he can wear a mask .... pleaseee be responsible we love your pizza but we don’t love you NOT WEARING A MASK WHEN YOU MAKE PIZZAS RISKING EVERYONES HEALTH AND YOURS! I really hope the owner see this complaint and take action of this situation.. no one want to see the person behind the counter making pizzas not wearing a mask...
