La Bistro — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

The service level Has to step up a bit. I give this place five stars for everything except it wasn’t until my second bad experience Did I decide to write this review. So I work in the area and on my break which is very limited, I’ll call up my order so that way I could just go in and grab it and have enough time to enjoy and finish my break. The first time I called in my order and went there, my food was not even in the oven. The second time I called them went there they had the order incorrect so they had to give my pizza Slice double oven time because they had to add the mushroom, so I had to wait an additional three minutes, and turned my pizza Slice into something other than enjoyable because it was overcooked, and it was like dried out and just crunchy. Both times when I called in I was put on hold. I understand that they’re very busy and there’s nothing they can do beyond that but it’s just a little frustrating at my end. Especially when I have to wait greater than two minutes then hang up and call back for a busy signal and then keep calling back until they realize that that initial call Hung up so they have to hang up their phone so I can get the call to ring again. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back here again because I can’t get that service level that I need while I’m working break time. I think what they need to understand is that if they’re giving their pizza slice double oven time to just make a new slice with the mushroom on it because this slice wasn’t enjoyable. Omgoodness been using La Bistro Wading River over a decade never once have we gotten anything that not outstanding Delicious food ! From appetizers to soups to salads, heroes, Pasta dinners and pizza plus their gelato cannolis and Zeppoli‘s Every time I place a order it’s just awesome service. They have wonderful delivery drivers who walk it up my steep stairs for me as I have some disabilities. With that said one day in Ronkonkoma my daughter ordered from Gino’s everything I normally order from La Bistro was so disgusting from Gino’s. Check out Long Island Foodies group on Facebook as I wrote a nasty review n said I absolutely love ❤️ La Bistro I also always recommend too people looking for awesome Italian food. . Here is my photo of spaghetti with meat sauce and mushrooms and some mozzarella cheese I absolutely love it they’re Italian wedding soup is wonderful they’re meatball heroes or just plain meatballs are so delicious. At Gino’s the meatballs were gray in color . Again this is the Best Pizza on Long Island La...

Growing up in an authentic Italian household and learning the true taste of the perfect Italian cooking and learning and emulating it from my grandmothers and mother and replicating it for 30 years...I hold Italian restaurants to the same standards I learned /developed (experienced by our taste palate's), La Bistro has always meet..actually surpassed our expectations..... Everyone should experience their food...especially Italians, who are very particular about their food - knowing what it should really taste like, and experiencing so -so results from other restaurant's.... My favorite dishes so far are as follows: Eggplant parm, Calzone, Rice balls, and pizza toped with Eggplant... So much more I want and intend to try... I never submit /write reviews... Actually, I think this is my second...lol... But LB is so exceptional, I wanted to share my experiences with other to encourage them to experience what my family and I have.
