Ace Hardware Wading River — Local services in Town of Riverhead

Placed order online for curbside pickup. Received email, not to come to store, order not ready. Looked online could not see any reason for delay, store reported item was in stock. I called the store the women answering said she couldn't hear me. I called from another phone, they said the same thing. I called customer service, they heard me completely fine, they called the store, called me back to report the item was not in stock and would take 7 days. I asked to cancel the order, customer service called back store to cancel. I wasn't updating by the store or given confirmation item was cancelled, I had to go check online. You would think being out of stock the store would call the customer. So much for trying to keep the smaller hardware stores in business. I went online to Walmart ordered it to my door delivery, will have item in two days.

Fix your phones, and if not for the corporate customer service, holding on the phone 20 minutes, to call another country, only to have them call back to the store I ordered from to cancel my order, I would have driven 13 miles, not knowing what to expect.

I recently visited Ace Hardware Wading River to purchase Benjamin Moore paint and was assisted by a wonderful representative named Mike. Not only was Mike incredibly knowledgeable about the products, but he also went above and beyond to help me while managing my three young children. Before I entered the store I was overwhelmed by the thought of buying paint while watching the boys and keeping them from touching anything in a hardware store (3 boys under 5!). Mike relieved all of my anxieties—He was patient, courteous, and kind, making the whole experience much easier and more pleasant.

His excellent customer service truly stood out, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It's rare to encounter such a dedicated and friendly employee, and Mike made sure I had everything I needed while ensuring my kids were comfortable and entertained. He even told me I could take my kids to the car and had me pull to the front where he brought out and loaded the paint into the car for me.
