We have been ordering from Lucia's Two go in Rotterdam for over 20 years. We have never been rude, never not left a tip, and genuinely enjoyed their food. However, today for the first time ever we had a terrible experience. We were placed on a do not deliver list for some reason. I called to ask why because there was never a reason for that to happen. The female that answered, who's father was the previous owner before be passed away was very nice and genuinely did not seem to know why we were placed on the do not deliver list. Then a man, Paulie as he identified himself as the new owner, seemed to have grabbed the phone from the female....said I am Paulie the owner, we do not deliver there and hung up. No reason, nothing just hung up.
We simply just wanted to fix whatever the problem was because we were entirely dumbfounded. I asked if it was possible they have the incorrect address bc we don't have great neighbors, or a case of mistaken identity as he the hubs has the same name as his father. We may be one family, customer, but if as a business you keep treating people like this and soon there will be none left. For obvious reasons we will find another local place for our pizza. The women I spoke with was entirely nice and was dignified throughout our conversation, to her I say thank you. What happens when you continue to treat customers in the same manner, they make the same choice to go somewhere else with their business. There should be an effective way for you to learn how to communicate with others, who are or were making a choice to order from your establishment. Paulie has a lot to learn with regards to his customer service skills, how to be an effective business owner. Look at the way the business was previously run and the way that gentleman ran it, because it is not. You should feel terrible for the way you treated us, just simply looking for a reason . Errors do happen and that has to be the case here. Do better. As I posted in a local community page, there were several community members who have had the same experience above and having ants in their food and being told to accept it and leave...
Read moreHands down the best pizza place in the area. We order at least once a week. It’s really the total package. The dough for the crust is flavorful, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside; perfect. The sauce, no one in the area can even touch, there is just nothing like it. You can easily tell from the first bite, they use the best mozzarella you can get. Toppings are of equal top quality. Either way, thick or thin, it’s the best around. My kids, they love the thin. For me, the Sicilian can’t get any better. They do it right. Subs, forget about it. Meatball, chicken parm, eggplant, sausage and peppers, even grilled chicken, we’ve had them all. You can’t go wrong with anything. The sub rolls are serious. I like the boneless wings, my father in law swears by the bone in. I like the wing sauce, a half hot, half BBQ. Ask for buffalo sauce if that’s what you want. The service is always incredible, friendly faces at the counter, great on the phone. Never had a problem with one order. The owner is a great guy, never too busy to look up and say “How you doin?” Thanks for the great service.

Read moreSo, I was in need of an American mix sub. Usual spot was closed for vacation. Lucia's had been recommended to me a while back, seemed a sign from the universe. Um, I should have been going here a long time ago. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly greeting, a slice of pizza w sausage and pepperoni calling my name as an appetizer while my sub was made, sub weighed 1.7 lbs (!) so made for lunch that day and breakfast the next. Wasn't just big, was also delicious. I keep dropping hints with the wife that we should go back. 100% recommend giving this place a try.
2nd visit: had my 20 yr old son w me, we ordered 1 each Chicken Parm & Meatball Parm subs. Split the chicken parm, was excellent, only had room for 1/6th of the meatball parm sub after that, also excellent. Again, made for a great breakfast the next day.
3rd visit: had to feed 15 people at work. Called in an order for 10 cold subs and 3 pizzas, they were ready before I got there. 15 happy bellies. Thank...
