Frank's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Rye

We've been ordering pizza for my children from Franks since we moved to Greenwich.....a little over 2 years. For this type of pizza it is pretty good. However I ordered for my kids the usual which is an Xtra large traditional cheese 1/2 pepperoni. I was delivered a 1/2 green pepper pizza but did not know until the delivery guy drove away so I call Franks immediately so they could contact him. I thought maybe he gave the pepper to me and was on his way to another delivery with my pepperoni.....well apparently that was not the case the man who took my order made a mistake and thought I said pepper....pepperoni big difference!!!!! I told him no i clearly said pepperoni and have been ordering the pizza this way for some time....he said there was nothing he could do but give me a $5.00 credit....I said well that doesn't help me because now I have a pizza with green peppers that my kids will not eat. He said "take the green peppers off"(in a sarcastic tone)!!!!!!! I told him to ........!!! I also told him that he lost a very good customer and we will never ever order pizza from there again. There are so many other REALLY good pizza restaurants to order from in Greenwich. Also, be careful if you pay cash a couple months ago I gave the delivery guy $26.00 and he came back to my door pounding on it to tell me I didn't give him the $20.....so I gave him another just because I didn't want to start an argument with him. The next day I went to Franks to report this incident and a woman manager told me okay we will talk to him and you will have a $20 credit on your next pizza....well that never happened.

Been going here since I was a tike, but stopped going as often. I recently got a large pepperoni pizza for pick up, and to my surprise it was completely different than how I remember it the last few years. I would always CRAVE their pizza, but this one got me stopping in my tracks. They started using pepperoni cups… too much cheese… and super oily… gone are the days of some nice, flat pepperoni, equal parts cheese and sauce, and occasionally some basil sprinkled on top (if you’re lucky). It has become more and more clear that Franks has become inconsistent. To add on, one of their delivery guys was exceptionally rude to my little brother, demanding a higher tip when no one else was home. What the hell is my little brother supposed to do? Incredibly stupid of the delivery guy. People at pick up counter are WAY friendlier! Anyways, inconsistent food and new pizza is not good. Bring back the old stuff! I have been going to Frank’s since I was a kid when it opened in the early 80s. My friends and I used to love to get a slice and sit in the booths before they expanded and renovated. So many great memories!

Now I live far away but spend the summers in PC. One of my favorite things to do is ordering from Frank’s. The lunch specials are amazing, and they always give wonderful garlic balls with the specials. And I just ordered a salad pizza with roasted red peppers. It was so amazing that I ordered the same thing the next day. Now I can’t wait to try the salad pizza with gorgonzola because their Gorgonzola salads are delicious. If you like supporting local establishments, Frank’s will not disappoint!
